But once I finished snatching the emeralds up and getting Perfects on all the special stages, my scoring avenues began to dry up. But this time, a user on the Sonic subreddit has pointed me to a little known, but highly risky trick:

Flying Battery 2 - 9:59 Bonus
I spent some time at work today brainstorming how to get the 9:59 bonus at the end of Flying Battery Act 2, and it seemed that the only solution would be a well-timed super transformation. It worked like a charm, and Flying Battery 2 was my highest Act total of my entire run, at 160,800.
