Phew! Got that up before my 4-day weekend started!
The month of April is kind of a strange month for me. I was telling my Dad on the phone a few weeks ago, that it's felt that way since I was a teen, and I think it has to do with April being that 'transitional' month, between Winter and Spring.
As you guys have seen, I can no longer keep up with the herd. I've had to many life happenings hit me all at once and cant find the time or energy to write, let alone do anything I'd like to do. However, with this last little change, I have given up entirely, and I want to say I'm sorry.
Let me begin with what has been going on with me in real life for almost a year now and you'll understand.
Well, a little early, but what the hey!
Here we get into some more character development regarding Coral Leaf's parents, and Applejack learning a few things about them, and their lifestyle.
Well, finally got that taken care of!
It was a struggle to find the through-line with this chapter. Heck, I almost just considered not writing it, but then, I'd be denying us a chance to see Coral and Applejack, tag-teaming on a little family assignment. It's not a big thing, but I felt it was nice to see how far they've come, and AJ, seeing that Coral really wants something, says, "let's go get it!"
Greetings, fellow readers!
I had originally intended to have the next chapter of The Expansive Romance of Applebloom and Coral Leaf done in the next few days, but I'm considering taking my time with the next few chapters.
Well, took a little while, but we finally got another chapter out!
You know some things you have to do, but it probably would be a lot simpler if you didn't do it?...that's what this chapter felt like.
Well, definitely didn't expected the amount of comments after chapter 10. Guess it makes up for the rather 'bored' tone from the massive expansion at the end of the Cider Festival dance chapter.
Chapter 11 I feel is where we start entering 'the third act' of this story, and I hope some will find a few more things to enjoy here, as we build more story, and introduce some new characters that I really had a fun time creating, and developing a backstory for.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrreetings everypony, and welcome back to Deconstruction is Magic, my Retrospective/Review/Analysis of every episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is magic ever. I'll admit, yesterday, I dropped the ball a bit with my Look Before You Sleep analysis, as there was a bit more I could say about the worldbuilding details. So today, I will make up for it by including some of that discussion in today's analysis, discussing the nature of prejudice and skepticism, with Bridle
Ever since I wrote The Expansive Romance of Applebloom and Coral Leaf, I kept turning over a number of ways to maybe do another story after their happily-ever-after-epilogue...but after several tries, nothing was really sparking me to say, “I HAVE to do this!”*
If some of you have seen the early comments on my story, "The Expansive Romance of Applebloom and Coral Leaf," you might have seen a number of people were horrified and disgusted with the art I had originally put together for the cover.
However, while a scant few seemed to feel the first chapter had potential, my first attempts at anthro-pony art had some assuming that the artwork would horrify and turn people away. So, I gave into the criticism, and removed it.
Well, after an extra-long Birthday week last week (with a day spent cleaning, a workplace party with drinks and frivolity, and a party with friends over the weekend), I finally got finished setting up and sending out Chapter 5!
Given the few words I've seen so far (and the added 'thumbs up' and 'favorites'), it looks like I'm actually doing okay with this story.
Plus, the 'energy drink buzz' of seeing the positives, has got my brain functioning again on how to 'spice up' Chapter 7!
In this week's episode of MLP, the CMC find themselves struggling to decide what to do after obtaining their cutie marks. Apple Bloom especially begins to face some problems when her friends agree that they should start doing their own things...
Well, we finally reached the double-digits, and a rather important turning-point chapter with this one.
Most of this was written on a trip I took a few weeks ago, though as I've gotten this far in the story, it can be kind of difficult to get my thoughts and feelings out regarding what is coming up.
Things are coming, that I think even I am wondering if I can pull off...
Well, sound of the gun, but I got Chapter 7 up before I have to take off for a Friend's party today!
This is a pretty crucial chapter, despite it seeming to be a lot of nothing...but there definitely is something there.
I can't tell much more than that, as I want those who are my avid readers, to give this chapter (the longest one yet!), a read.
So the Cutie Mark Crusaders FINALLY got their Cutie Marks this past season! But now we're left to wonder if that's a good thing or a bad thing?
Well, finally got off my caboose and got this chapter proofread, and released!
As explained before, after the rather lukewarm reception to the last chapter (which marks a turning point in the story!), I got a bit low, though thanks to Dommy128 and AppleOrPie for their little pep-talks.
For those wondering, yes, I am still working on the story.
I actually went to Manhattan for 4 days last week, and have been rolling the experience around in my head, to see if I could work some of what I saw into the next chapter.
I'm hoping to have something in the next week, but we're still on course.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrreetings everypony, and welcome back to Deconstruction is Magic, my Retrospective/Review/Analysis of every episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is magic ever. Today, we have the official debut of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and it all starts with Applebloom. It's Call of the Cutie! Without wasting any more time, let's get on with the analysis! I am the Mage of Mind, reminding you, as always, that even a cheeseburger can be
So we finally get to see what becomes of the CMC after their get their Cutie Marks. It's different than what I expected. Also Sweetie Belle is Best Crusader.
Oh and definitely watch this one all the way through. For...reasons...
