Chapter 8 of "The Expansive Romance of Applebloom and Coral Leaf" is now up! · 11:02pm Apr 30th, 2017
Well, finally got off my caboose and got this chapter proofread, and released!
As explained before, after the rather lukewarm reception to the last chapter (which marks a turning point in the story!), I got a bit low, though thanks to Dommy128 and AppleOrPie for their little pep-talks.
Dommy128's comment was the nice shot of adrenaline I needed, as this reader seemed to get what I've been trying to do with this storyall along ("I love this story not only for the butt worth of amazing fetish usage but also for the emotion of the characters and the general story!").
I have often said in the past, that I don't strive to do what is considered 'conventional,' and I think because I often try to do things differently, oftentimes it can mess with some people's thought processes. In a sense, writing this story, was a bit like a mini-homage to Terry Southern's story, "Blue Movie." in that book, one director wonders why whenever someone makes an erotic movie, they can't make one with decent actors, or a decent story? And so, the director/writer sets out to make a feature that somehow manages to skirt the line between erotica and mainstream cinema.
Terry Southern could often be that way with his writing, and while I am not a huge fan of his writing, some of his often 'hidden naughtiness' does come into play. He was also a writer on the film "Dr Strangelove," which is still my favorite comedy.
Anyhoo, I will admit I have been struggling in the last month to continue writing. I haven't even put the finishing touches on Chapter 9, and the next few chapters are still percolating in my brain. I am taking a few days off to travel and see an exhibit up in Minnesota, so I am hoping the time on the bus or in a new environment, might help me (plus, I do rather enjoy writing naughty stuff with unsuspecting people about, so it may help greatly!).
I am hoping to return to my 2-weeks between chapters approach going forward.
