Happy Thanksgiving, my friends.
This is your friendly film, TV show, and episode reporter here, once again giving you all another review.
And today, for my second "Thanksgiving Treat" to you all, I'm gonna review "Chicken Run".
Here's the rundown of it:
I'm a big, big fan of the classic comedians of the 20s, 30s and 40s. My dad introduced me to a ton of them growing up and going through high school.
Abbott and Costello. The Marx Brothers. Harold Lloyd. Buster Keaton. And of course, Laurel and Hardy.
This was first shared with me by my father. One of his Facebook friends has his own website where he posts movie reviews, and as part of ranking of the various superhero movies, he covered "Batman vs. Superman".
I'm going to share the whole text of it here, because I just found it that priceless at points. But for anyone who's at all curious, the original link may be found here.
I am not usually a fan of zombie movies or the like. They're a type of monster that's never quite appealed to me. I've never been tempted to see "Night of the Living Dead" or its imitators, and my enjoyment of games like Dead Rising and Resident Evil is about as far as I'm usually willing to go in regard to engaging with the genre of zombie horror.
It's been a good long while since I've written up my thoughts on any sort of movie. Sorry about that. But let's try to get back into the swing of things, and do so with a classic that I watched with my father at the very start of the year.
Caution: This review is something that is completely negative. If you wish to turn back, go ahead. But, if you wish to read, well...you can do that if you want. Feel free to comment, I appreciate that always.
It took me a rather long time to catch up on the movies that made Arnold Schwarzenegger famous. I knew about The Terminator, though I only saw it after I'd graduated from college. I also knew about Conan the Barbarian (but, speaking as a fan of the original stories, I'm not at all interested in watching John Milius' film any time soon).
Today I had a rather odd moment. I received a text from a political group that informed me that I was a black woman and that my vote counted now more than ever. I was shocked. I didn't know I was a black woman. All these years wandering this planet of ours and I wasn't informed of this. There was only one recourse ... run home strip down and check.
Just came back from a double date with my brother, a girl I went out with once over a month ago, and her friend. We watched Zootopia, got milkshakes, and had a lot of fun.
But being me, I was mostly thinking about the movie the whole time. Namely, the plot and the setting.
Not sure if I like the new Techno Syndrome, but hey, new generation, new tunes. I'm gonna try to keep this as spoiler-free as possible, folks.

I just finished watching Legend of Everfree. Maybe this is partially the accompanying cider talking, but I'm pleased overall, despite some gaping plot holes and continued hand-waving about how Equestrian magic is supposed to work in the other world.
