...And to my utmost amusement, the villain of the week is a snooty online personality obsessed with Internet fame and a superpowered phone that can affect the outside world.
Gee, I didn't know that Vignette Valencia had gotten a job with the CW.
There are only two ways writers can fail to communicate: They either fail to make the reader understand the story, or they fail to understand it themselves. One way to guard against either sounds like "show, don't tell", but it's a little different: Depict key information physically, whether shown or summarized, but not just in dialogue or by making claims about abstract concepts.
Steven Spielberg was recently asked what he felt would happen to the superhero genre, and he had this to say:
Everything I Needed To Know About Life, I Learned From Supervillains
is an awesome blog post by PJ Eby, author, self-improvement guru, & LessWrongian, on his blog, DirtSimple.org . I can't improve on it; I'll just quote part of it:
In the movies, the villains typically:
A lot of you guys know my book "The Silver Blizzard" about Sweetie Belle as a cool superhero. And I've decided to do more of those. I already have an idea to do a Pinkie Pie one,but with a slight twist...
It's a minimalist RPG system. All you need is 3 6-sided dice. It's pretty slick for what it is, and you can buy it for whatever you want.
Note, if you buy a physical copy there is a minimum amount you have to pay because the Printer still gets their cut. It'll tell you how much. PDF can be $0 if you want though.
With the upcoming Avengers: Endgame near us, it's time to reflect which ones are my favorite deaths in superhero movies. I'm only taking into account characters that don't come back to life and they don't necessarily need to have superpowers (with this in mind, I'm warning you right now, Infinity War won't make it into the list). Finally, I know it may look cliché since many of this scenes are probably on your personal lists, but honestly there are not that many I can count or remember. Without
Firebird Freedom started out as an exercise to have two different ways of introducing a character, through dialogue, and through various action sequences. I’ve been doodling on it for months, adding some here, taking a few chunks out there, making it smooth out. What started out as two standalone chapters of 9k words turned into a sequence that flowed along in chronological order, but I had to put in a second ‘glue’ chapter to point out the dual-nature of the date/interview, and
For some time now, a buddy of mine by the screen name of Samey90 has been cooking up something special: a story set in the same universe as The Silver Spooner. It doesn't follow the Spooner herself, but rather a different group of wannabe superheroes. I found it pretty cool, and I'd suggest you check it out. Fair warning, though: this ain't your grandpappy's Silver Spooner. Samey's got his own style and tone for this one (duh), which is quite a bit different from the original fic. Still
Hi folks!
Sorry I'm taking so long between chapters at present. Don't worry, I'm not giving up on you. I've just got a lot on my plate right now. However, there is one more chapter of Friendship is Joker finished, just waiting on its second half (because I don't want to leave it on a cliffhanger for weeks).
Today’s update is just to let you know we’re still chugging away on Episode 8. Or Chapter 8. Depends on who you ask. I’ve always envisioned these stories as episodes of a tv show, but there are some that tell me it’s wrong to call them that as chapter titles. Either way, we’re nearly done with the first draft and polish!
Good news for you Pinkie and Rainbow Dash fans: They return this round!
A few disclaimers:
1. I do not think an individual needs powers to be a "super" hero.
2. I consider sidekicks to be just as important as the main heroes; they don the mask and fight crime, they're a hero.
3. I don't care how heroic they are, I am not including anti-heroes. Love you Red Hood, but you just don't fit the bill.
All the waiting is over, head on over and see what new plot points pop out atcha ;)

So I have all of 'A Soldier's Harmony' planned out, just need to write it. Once I am done that, I think I would like to write a fimfiction about a superhero crossover. Maybe even Percy Jackson? Oh well, let me know what I should do!
Still alive and kickinng. Had a tooth pulled and my co author is under the weather due to allergies so they are having a hard time concentrating.
I'm on pain meds for the tooth post OP so...were quite a mess xD.
But alive!
We have a new side artist to welcome Goes by the name Legendary Spider! :)
Stay tuned!

A lot of us have been looking for something to fill the pony void since the show ended almost a year ago.
Today, I discovered the first season of Lauren Faust's 2019 Netflix series, DC Superhero Girls (not to be confused with her DC shorts from 2014).
I have to say, it feels a lot like pony.
My Magnum Opus on this site was uploaded exactly a year ago! And I celebrated this occasion by a new update! My original plan was actually wrapping this story up by the anniversary, but due to my real life obligations and occasional laziness, this didn't come to be.
