Sunset Shimmer was probably the one thing that kept Equestria Girls going past "Rainbow Rocks". It's ironic that she could start out as perhaps the weakest villain in all of G4, and yet within the span of a single movie she became not just a great protagonist but perhaps one of the greatest things G4 gave us. She even got a chance to be a very rare thing in G4 and in western media in general: An anti-hero (a hero without heroic qualities), which she became during "Forgotten Friendship".
I actually prefer Sci-Twi over Princess Twilight. I realize I am in the minority when it comes to this.
Sci-Twi seems to me like a much more balanced character. She's nerdy, yes, but seems to be more...how do I say this...mentally stable than her counterpart. Yes, she does panic, but for legitimate reasons (like turning from a human into a pony).

I wanted to get some opinions on a few things. First I'm going to state that with Ch.2:
- Don't expect much action like you did in Ch.1, mostly due to the nature of Ch.2
-Prepare for some backstory, also that it may come with some confusing choppy bits. This is mostly due to this being a short story that I can't exactly flesh out those portions.
G5 hasn't had as many villains yet compared to G4, but then again G5 could be going for a quality over quantity approach when it comes to villains. Yes, villains is plural, there's more than one to talk about even if one in particular has been commanding the most attention. For the record, villains is different from antagonists. Antagonists can include anyone who's ever opposed the protagonist for any reason, it doesn't necessarily mean they're outright evil like villains (or borderline evil).
This should be a pretty straightforward and easy to do list. I probably also don't need to put up a spoilers tag for this one, but I'm going to cover my bases just in case there are those who haven't kept up to date with Make Your Mark. And as always, this is just my personal opinion, though I imagine my opinion on the overall rankings is probably very similar to the majority of the fandom's right now. In any case, please respect it.

Chapter 6 gave us one more special in the form of "Secrets of Starlight", weird how they would choose a fourty four minute special to go on out, but I digress. How does it stack up compared to the other specials we've gotten? Well, let's find out. As always, this is purely the result of my personal opinion, so please respect it.
4. Make Your Mark Special/Make Your Mark Pilot (Make Your Mark, Chapter 1)
Probably don't need to keep the spoiler tag up considering it's been over a week since Chapter 6 came out, but there may be those who haven't been able to see it yet and are waiting to do so, so I'm just being careful. Anyway, this is going to be the last list pertaining to G5 barring some sort of continuation of Make Your Mark, which I don't foresee happening. But I'm closing out these lists on a high note. I held off on doing a list like this for quite a while given both how few songs there

Alright, it's finale time! This has been a pretty divisive season compared to Seasons 4 and 5 (there were some people who complained frequently about Seasons 4 and 5, but for the most part the fandom reception was positive, few episodes this season have met with universal praise) for several reasons, none the least of which is Starlight Glimmer herself. Okay guys, the season 7 premiere was not to long ago. My thoughts...It was awesome!!
The first episode was very interesting. you see Twilight grapple with how Starlight should move on and you see Celesita go through the same struggles back when she had to let go of Twilight. And the ending to that episode was pretty good. I'm glad Starlight is staying because I like her and I would love to see her develop more as a character.
