Monday turned out to be surprisingly successful. Let's see if I can repeat it in two hours.
Four Kerbals to rescue around the Mun, plus two satellite contracts and a docking contract to clear.
Begins 7 PM Central tonight:

Incidentally, I'll be doing these streams Mondays and Thursdays from now until the Monday after Christmas.
I'm not dead, and neither is CSP.
I've posted the first section of Changeling Space Program Chapter 9 to Patreon. It involves Elytron, chief of Chrysalis's guards and the bug running things in the hive while she's being an astronaut, dealing with a couple of obnoxious, uninvited visitors with a business proposition.
OK, based on the votes:
MONDAYS and WEDNESDAYS - Kerbal Space Program Career Hard Mode
SATURDAYS - XCOM Chimera Squad
All times 7 PM Central.
EXCEPT
SATURDAY, MAY 9 - KSP: CHANGELING SPACE PROGRAM MISSION TWENTY-THREE (plus Q&A)
That one will begin at 3 PM Central
Specifically, tomorrow evening (Monday 9-9), beginning 7 PM, at which point I believe I will fly a CSP mission which will get at most a paragraph in the next chapter, just to finish the temperature scans that didn't happen in Mission 22. That will run from building a rocket from scratch to as many "simulated" launches as necessary (read: revert to VAB if the design proves bad) to landing a rocket-rover on Minmus.

Reading takes effort. What takes less effort is listening to a story instead of reading it. All you need to do is convert the story to mp3.
The problem with the above http://www.fromtexttospeech.com/ is that it only accepts 50 000 characters at a time. At least for me, that was frustrating, so I made an app to help me separate the stories into segments of 50 000 characters.
And also CSP:

Thanks to GymQuirk who made it- as ever, I'm flattered!
Well, I lost ten days of writing to the Arizona trip, but even without that I'm way behind my 1500-word-per-day goal. But I'll keep plugging at it.
One major problem is finding away around a plot block in the current-in-progress chapter of Changeling Space Program. I'm almost there, but it's not quite ready to write in my head. I've been making slow progress on other projects, but nothing ready to post here yet. Sneak peeks are available for Patreon supporters.
Well, the people have spoken, and the general consensus is that more time can't hurt. In light of that and the card I used for this blog title, I'm giving you all two extra weekends. The deadline for Villain Exchange Program submissions is now October 22nd, 11:59 PM EST. So moving it from my birthday to just before my sister's. Funny how that works.
So I'm writing and posting little previews of things to my Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/KrisOverstreet) to get more donors. I'll have most of January to work on things, and I'm going to open my focus up for a vote.
First: the beginning of the next chapter of CSP.

Chapter 13: Mission 21 – Somewhat Worse Than Average Accidents
“Keep pushing, Cadence.”
First, I came through Harvey all right. I was well away from the winds for landfall, and I was on high ground with good drainage for the 25+ inches of rain that fell at my house. And, thankfully, one of the roads leading out of where I live reopened just barely in time for me to travel to this weekend's convention for selling things.
Second, today I had yet another complaint about the footnotes.
The artist who drew the pics of Occupant, Goddard and the Minotaur rocket scientists I shared last month lost her job recently, and her employer hasn't reported the dismissal to her state unemployment office. She's offering a special deal for commissions right now:
Well, very little writing of any kind got done in September and October. There are many and various reasons, but the big two are these:
Just as the title says. Go check my Patreon and pledge if you want to see the evening before the launch of Mission R1, well before it gets published!
I've just about finished the first draft of R1 itself, which isn't nearly as funny as what goes before. I thought very seriously about ending the chapter there, but R2 doesn't really make a good chapter by itself. So, likely over this weekend, I will fly R2 in KSP (I've already designed and tested the rocket in-atmosphere) and press forward.
Attention to all potential participants in the Villain Exchange Program: We're past the halfway point. And the current tally for entries is... one.
I took a little time this last week to code a specific piece of software which does one very simple thing. You click a button, and it shuffles thousands of lines of descriptive text I wrote to create a unique and thoroughly detailed pony appropriate for Fallout Equestria's setting.
Last night I finished Part 8, the final part... it's a long video (right at two hours), but that's because it was trimmed down from ELEVEN hours of streaming footage. (Sadly, the middle part of it uses backup low-res recordings because the main recording was corrupted by a computer crash. But since almost all the exciting stuff happened in THAT, I couldn't just do the montage thing with it...)
So, the first couple of constructive pieces of criticism of the new chapter hit home, and I'm writing this to address, if not totally fix, the problem they rightfully pointed out... well, fix it as much as I can without basically ripping out a third of the chapter, which isn't going to happen.

I'm a bit less than halfway through editing the final YouTube installment, combining the last two-and-a-bit parts of the Mun Miner odyssey into one video.
Next stream is Monday 6-8, followed by Wednesday 6-10. Each stream will begin with me flying a new attempt at a spaceplane, followed by work on the crewed Duna expedition plus whatever else pops up.
