Pony Pairings · 10:12pm Jun 21st, 2016

I've finally updated my Pony Pairings tool to catch up to the season six hiatus.

Those of you who haven't been following me for very long, or just have short memories, may be asking "what is the pony pairings tool?"

Well, it's a website which has a big list of ponies built into it, including loads of canon ones, a few well-known OCs, and includes miscellaneous non-ponies too, like Opalescence, Gummy, Tom, etc.

Remember that other thing I was working on? No, not a story... · 5:08am Sep 7th, 2021

This blog's not about Sunrise, for a (brief) change:

I just wanted to let you guys know that https://juliajs.neocities.org/ is updated and feature-complete!

...For the features I planned to add, anyway. It has history navigation, color selection, Julia and Mandelbrot set selection, and a save button now. All written in pure JavaScript, no frameworks, no bloat, no extras. It's real fast that way.

Stupid Windows · 9:44pm Jul 15th, 2013

As part of a job application, I've been instructed to create a program that automates an action using the WatiN library, which works with both Internet Explorer and Firefox. Using Firefox isn't required for the assignment, but I'm going the extra mile and detecting whether FFX is the user's default browser, and launching that if so.

Waiting for editors to compile... · 6:32pm Aug 13th, 2016

So, my next chapter's done. Just need to wait for editors to do their thing. And from what I can see from the first editor, I made quite a few mistakes.

Well, now I have guilt-free free time... What should I do... Hmm...

Weeeeee!

Just kidding.

Pony Pairing Generator · 5:00pm Apr 12th, 2015

Want to ship some ponies, but don't know which ponies to choose?

Use the Pony Pairings generator.

Just something silly I made because I was bored. I need to add some more ponies to it though.

Programming group · 8:09pm Jun 21st, 2016

I don't know why I'm blogging this, but I am.

I've set up a Programming group for discussing computer programming. If you've got a pony-related (or non-pony-related) game, app, website, whatever, and you need help with it, then this group might be the place to ask.

Or more likely, it will see a little activity for the next week or two and then get forgotten about. :twilightoops:

Reading Enhancer · 9:39pm Aug 31st, 2016

Okay, so a few months back, Sleepy Panda somehow convinced me that it would be a really great idea to write an extension for Google Chrome which changes random words on web pages, replacing them with others. And lo and behold, Reading Enhancer was born.

Photoshop and GIMP: not very cooperative... · 8:51am Nov 8th, 2018

.... at least when it comes to text layers inside PSD files. In theory, today (2018) whole text stylization done in specific Adobe-created markup language can be decoded, but integration of this info in GIMP (2.10.x) not yet done:

"Plane Crazy 2", the Kerbalcidal death trap I failed to fly on Monday. · 2:20am Jun 11th, 2020

For those of you who play Kerbal Space Program and saw Monday's stream, this is the single-seater plane that killed two kerbals in about three minutes and never got farther than the end of the KSP runway. It was that bad.

I invite you to try it yourselves and give feedback, though my personal guess is it was a combination of inadequate lift, tail-heavy, and pilot error.

First on the Moon, or How Important 0.5 Seconds Can Be · 6:29am Jan 3rd, 2017

OK, so you may have noticed that in Chapter 10, the most recently released brick o' text, George Cowley proposed a Mission Twelve which could test a powered landing on Equus, on the premise that the skill was absolutely necessary for the future moon landing. The proposal was killed with extreme vehemence by Cherry Berry and Chrysalis because it was too dangerous, even on paper, to consider.

There are times I wish my laptop could handle both KSP and a video capture program. · 7:11am Jan 26th, 2017

Today I flew what has to be my most kerbal flight in Kerbal Space Program. (And, by the way, it had nothing to do with the CSP story- this is a separate game session.)

So, in this game session I managed to get three different missions at once that all required a Mun landing. I also had four tourists who needed an orbital flight above Kerbin, but not a ride all the way out to the Mun.

"Okay," I thought, "I'll unlock the three-man capsule and go from there."

I've been eyeing the "rating" ranking on Changeling Space Program recently.

This morning it was the 13th most popular fic on FimFiction... going by a ratio of up-votes to down-votes.

I'll repeat that: #13 on the list of most popular fics.

The thing is, it was also the only one in the top fifty or so with a three-digit up-vote count. It was that high because only three people had ever down-voted it.

In about an hour I'll make another stream attempt- KSP again. (7 PM Central, Twitch.tv/redneckgaijin ) .

Speed tests with my ISP seem to be normal, and TwitchCon is over, so maybe things are fixed now. We'll see. No guarantees, though.

Tonight, 7 PM Central: Kerbal Space Program- The Maretian

I'm going to build Concordia! (Probably not launch it, though. It would take multiple launches and orbital assembly.)

Wednesday, 9 PM Central: KWLP is On the Air!

One last run through my "Call of Cthulhu" playlist!

InspiroBot generates inspirational posters. They're not completely random, but they're not pre-defined, either. Some of the results can be quite hilarious.

This blog post isn't about the posters it generates, though. This is about the things it says while generating them.

When you first load the page, it will present its "About" text:

I am InspiroBot
