This week, we return to the fever dream of Pony Life, which proved more pyretic than usual last week given the misadventures in time and probability space. Let’s see how delirious this assortment gets.
This one feels… odd. I’ve met ROBCakeran53 in person, and I know well how much he doesn’t want to be associated with this story. Though, to be fair, you could hardly say that's what we'll be discussing...
Looks like that initial burst of Tell Your Tale shorts was just to set the tone, and they’ve pulled back to a one-per-week schedule. Given that, let’s look at what was going to go up last week, wherein reality ensues for a particular pink pony’s pancreas.
This week, we’re putting ourselves four degrees away from the source material. It’s a card blog based on a video based on a story based on a song based on FiM. Let’s get going.
With Chapter 5 reviewed and Secrets of Starlight still about a month away, I can start addressing the accumulated backlog elsewhere. This week, that means Tell Your Tale shorts. Let’s see what we’re working with.
The Mentally Advanced Series can be thought of as the Pepsi to Friendship is Witchcraft’s Coke; same concept, different execution, each with their supporters. I personally prefer FiW; MAS gets unpalatably cruel over time, especially once it’s no longer shackled to FiM’s visuals. But there is one offshoot, the Schweppes ginger ale of this analogy, where my tastes shift.
So. It turns out there are going to be seventy of these things. And an eight-episode series of full-length 3D episodes. When it rains G5 content, it pours. Time to stick my face back in the firehose.
This week, we return to the land of superdeformed shenanigans, where bubbles from beyond have been wreaking bedlam. Let’s see what there is to see.
The biweekly trickle has finally filled the figurative reservoir enough for another Tell Your Tale blog. Let’s see what I can make of the ongoing shenanigans. I get the feeling it won’t be quite as heartfelt as last week.

Well, this is aggravating. After these shorts, Tell Your Tale is airing on a biweekly schedule. As such, I’ve had to rewrite a good chunk of my schedule, and now I have YouTube shorts planned from here ’til December. Might as well get this batch taken care of, given that.
And so we come to the end of the diabetic fever dream that is G4.5. Let’s see how they send it off.
Well, that was quick. No rest for the weary, I suppose. (Weary of what, well, I’ll leave that unsaid for now.) Let’s see how Maretime Bay rings in the new year and new season.
Time to get started on the backlog that’s accrued over the course of my Chapter 4 review. Given the side comics coming down the pike, I have mostly G5 planned until mid-September. But first, it’s time to see what the shorts have been doing.
Merry Christmas Eve! I can’t promise any legendary Elf Artificers in this blog, but I can promise the end of Tell Your Tale, Season 1. Depending on how you feel about it, that might be even better.

Still waiting on either April release from IDW, so that means we turn to Season 2 of Pony Life. Which has seen an… interesting release schedule thus far. Let’s dive in.
I had hoped to close out Pony Life as the last FiCG of the year, a symbol of moving past all the crap it’s thrown at us.
The fact that the last part of Zecora’s comic story still isn’t out yet is the most 2020 way 2020 could have responded to this plan.
Timing’s a funny thing. Once again, two months of waiting for enough G5 content to accrue has led to two weeks looking at goings-on in Maretime Bay, with the final short and comic both coming out this week. Let’s begin.
Well, I didn’t see this coming. I was expecting one short a week for a while, but we got a solid twenty minutes of new pony on Thursday. Let’s see what we’re working with.
