That I caught the coof and didn’t even know it.
That I caught the coof and didn’t even know it.
You know what? Forget next week. I got on a roll, worked all day today and thus completed the next Firefly chapter, which will have undergone all its prereads by Sunday. And that means the chapter can launch tomorrow!
A teaser? Sure, why not. Here's a preview of one of Rock Biter's sections:

Thank you one and all! Not bad for what was originally supposed to be a one-shot exercise in cutting loose. I haven't forgotten that I promised some bonus chapters and sequel, but I also need to keep promises to get two of my other regular stories completed first. Though I daresay this story had an effect on The Lawyer and The Unicorn as I incorporated a certain *ahem* story element from UtM into it...
Just a quick note to let everyone know that over five months since the last entry was published, a new chapter of Into the Storm is underway. The first 1400 words are down, and it will detail the second engagement of Rock Biter’s Equestrian Army regiment at Harness Hill, including the story of how they got their nickname of the “Daisy Regiment”.
It should be draft complete in a day or two, at which point I’ll pass it off to prereaders and the commissioner. Probably not soon enough for a weekend release, but we’ll see. Expect a three-section finale, with non-mature bookends and an M-rated middle section. And if you’d like something to look forward to, know that there’s an exchange of pranks between Gilda and Rainbow involving some of the alternate verses they saw.
Hey folks. Though it wasn’t my primary focus while trying to get the last main story chapter finished and published--I’m very pleased with how well it was received by the way; I actually had some trepidation over releasing it with some R-rated action--I’ve been working on Eros over the past several days as well. It’s now up to 5k words and will probably be in the neighborhood of 8k before all is said and done.
Or actually, in my case, post-Turducken day (chicken breast stuffed inside a duck breast stuffed inside a turkey breast). Yes, it exists, and I prefer it to turkey for having a variety of flavors instead a single type of meat:

New TLaTU chapter is at 7,000 words and growing; it's a very collaborative effort and I think everyone's going to be pleased by its direction. More surprises ahead, and only a little understated M-rated action this time.
The first 2100 words are down, and the four sections are sketched out. You already know the main scene here--expect a very interesting twist in the final claiming of our birdy boi Peregrine, which I'll be keeping secret--but for a side one?
Well, I think it's time we hear from another interested party. So how'd folks like to see Midnight emerge again? A small teaser follows:
New Flight of Firefly chapter now at 14k words and with another 2-3k words to go. I have major momentum on it now after struggling with it for some time, as it's finally taking shape and being fleshed out. For those who know me on Skype, I'm mostly unavailable until I finish this. Best guess at this point is it'll be draft complete tomorrow and released within a couple days after, once prereaders have given it a thorough check and thumbs-up.
Well, after putting on a massive push over the past week to get Feathered Hearts launched and then refreshing my browser about every thirty seconds for three days straight to look for new likes and comments, it's time to let that simmer for a bit while I head back over to work on Midnight Rising. But before I do, I did want to welcome and thank all new readers of the story for dropping likes and comments, and give a shout-out to the dozens of new watchers who came to me from the
I haven't actually started the next chapter yet, having taken a week off from writing following the last one. As much as I enjoyed telling the story of our birdy boi Perry, it was also quite draining, and in the end I needed to step back from clop for a bit to recharge.
Not quite a record time for turning out a new chapter, but close. Weighing in at around 8500 words, it was a scene and sequence I'd been wanting to do for a very long time, and certainly one I'd been hyping here for quite a while. There will be no teaser, and it's possible it will released tonight as I get prereads in and edits finished. Just need some additional music selections, and we're good to go!
I have a week off, and plenty of writing to do. First up is the new NMN chapter. It currently stands at around 6200 words, and is likely to be a long one before all is said and done; possibly approaching or even exceeding 10,000 words. Be advised I'm taking another chance with this one as the means of Luna's seduction and possible corruption take shape. Let's just say for now that given her proclivities and history, she's got good reason to not let herself succumb to this curse. And by the
And I do mean new. As in, brand spanking new, with very little pulled over from the original story.
Got 2 out of 3 prereads in at this moment, both positive. That means the chapter will launch either tonight or tomorrow morning, tipping the scales at 9k words. Two sex sections and two non, with the latter being seen from Sunset’s perspective on her entry into the castle and first meeting with a curse-corrupted Twilight.
Aiming for a weekend release. I'm sorry I've gone incognito, but work has been a royal bitch lately, even more so than The Nightmare. No joke, I updated my resume this weekend and put it out looking for feelers. I'm going to try to find a new job.
But... that doesn't stop me from working on the new chapter, which is probably going to be around a nice even 10k words. 7k plus already written, and here's the opener...
It's not quite ready--there still two areas of the chapter to complete--but the long-awaited next part of The Lawyer and The Unicorn will post this weekend, one way or another. It will have two major plot threads, one of which (of course) carries forward from the ending of the last chapter, but the other one...
Like updating Turnabout Storm. The prelude plus first five chapters have been redone and reposted. Updates include a careful editing pass, lot of dialogue additions and changes (honestly, the first video part’s dialogue was a bit stilted in places), fleshing out and adding additional details and graphics, and toning down the early shipping. I also added some things to make the story mesh a bit better with what
Tentatively titled “Change of Command”, it’s currently coming in at just shy of 9000 words and it’s going to test my writing ability to create extreme tension and suspense in readers even without an actual battle.
