It's not quite ready--there still two areas of the chapter to complete--but the long-awaited next part of The Lawyer and The Unicorn will post this weekend, one way or another. It will have two major plot threads, one of which (of course) carries forward from the ending of the last chapter, but the other one...
Well. That's a surprise, and hopefully a pleasant one. Be advised, it's going to be a big chapter, over 10k words long! It won't be as M-rated as last chapter, but there will certainly be some major moments of it. You know me by now, folks. I take risks in my writing. And this new chapter is certainly in keeping with that spirit... 
No preview this time, sorry, because anything I could give would give away too much. Be looking for it this weekend!
Before heading out, let me also offer an apology. 
Part of the reason this one has taken so long has been my general moodiness of late, but also the fact I wasn't quite sure what to do with this chapter and needed to think on it long and hard. I believe I've finally come up with a winner with some help from James CyberLink, who gave me a couple thousand words to work with, and my usual array of prereaders.
