I’m forced to break one chapter into two, because it got too big. The next Feathered Hearts chapter was already well over 17k words and probably on its way to 20k, which is a lot more than I typically allow in a single entry. It also had a natural breakpoint mid-chapter, so I elected to make use of it. This means you will be getting not one, but two new Feathered Hearts chapters in short order, each around 10.5k words each.

It’s with prereaders now, delayed by my workload, which has resulted in nearly 40 extra hours worked over the past two and a half weeks--and I damn well better get some comp time for that! Unfortunately, even when prereaders finish with the new chapter, it’s not ready yet--I still have to make some graphics and do song selections for it, which will take some time. The latest chapter release of Five Star Service was, by most measures, a success. It featured for a couple hours for the first time in perhaps a dozen chapters, and gained nine faves for it. However, it also picked up three downvotes, which never happened on a single chapter save the first. That's the problem with featuring; it gets your more notice but you risk more downvotes as well... and downvotes tend to affect your story rating much more than upvotes.

Starting off with some good news: Fallout Equestria: The Angels of Oasis performed exactly as I'd hoped, briefly featuring and wracking up 48 likes over the course of a week.
