QTC Changes, Forever Young Update, and Health! · 12:37am Oct 15th, 2022
First off, I've discovered that Cinnamon Tea is actually a historic character in FiM, which fits the story Forever Young perfectly—except...
This little guy knew Mistmane pre-Limbo.
...he'd be even older than the nearly three centuries he is in the story! To compensate, I changed a few small things in the story (mostly in his chapter) and added a timeport to boot in order to better mesh with canon. (Yeah, I'm that picky about canon, fight me.) I probably didn't need to do this as Cinnamon isn't exactly the most honest character in the story 
, and it's not a large enough change to affect the story or its allegory (though it does add some color). So unless you're a weird Trick Question stan, you can safely ignore the update.
Second, I'm going to be making a few small changes to the Quotable Trick Contests:
- Sometimes I'll post questions or riddles related to my stories that are more involved than just finding a quote (like I did once with Finding Honesty).
- When a QTC is the traditional "find a quote" task, the source chapter will usually be selected purely at random and all chapters will have equal weight. This means the same chapter or story could potentially be chosen twice in a row, which is interesting, and also it means I don't have to keep track of a billion QTC's.
- M-rated stories now qualify. I decided to do this given that the more disturbing M-rated works are on another account now, the ones still on my account constitute such a small part of my library I don't think it's a huge disadvantage to players who have the filter on, and only one of those stories is literal erotica.
Third, I'm still struggling with health issues but I think the solution may involve a medication shakeup. I lose track of time too easily when I take lots of Adderall, and also I cannot stay upright when I take no Adderall. So now I'm trying half the dosage to split the diff, and I'll see where I am in a week or two. It seems to be helping so far (hence I am able to post an update like this). Also cutting my omeprazole down to normal dosages appears to have fixed the awful coughing/vomiting mucus thing that was getting out of control due to allergies plus reflux, so that's been a tremendous relief. It was also gross emptying my trashcan three times a week because of the stomach acid smell.
I'm not gross anymore I swear. (Except, y'know, I'm still Trick Question.)
Today I started writing again in earnest, and I'll keep in touch as I make progress. I can't seem to focus on just one story so I'm toggling between a dozen of them and a few chapter updates. Maybe the first one to pop out will be a good one! 
A few of them are really amazing and I know they'll be well-received, while others are just strange. But you've probably read one of my stories so this does not surprise you.

In this case I chose him because he's one of very few tweenage unicorn colts without a cutie mark. I just forgot when I saw the pic of him that he was Eastern—I figured he had a sharp horn for some odd reason and didn't notice the curve to it because he's smaller than the adult models.
