Match I'm particularly happy with · 12:16am Sep 6th, 2022

Yes, this is me. Playing on the character that inspired, or actually is, Kenetan Krace aka Kent aka "moody swordsman Jedi added in the fourth act" of Dan Vs. The Magic of Friendship. And like many of my characters, there's more than one layer to Kent, including his abbreviated name. It's yet another acronym- "Knight Enforcer Negotiator Tactician." Or "Kills Everybody, Not Talkative." Mr. Kent is a man of actions, not so much words and I very much enjoyed adding him to my story. His final addition to the story sets up Dan's ultimate rejection of ruthlessness, the same way his interactions with Khan served to set up Dan's rejection of hatred. Kent is a good guy, mostly, but does not hesitate and can be very inconsiderate at times, even judgmental. Kent's own challenges, learning to show restraint and learning to forgive are taught through Dan.

Kent came a long way in development. There were a few prototypes before I decided on him. He's the former padawan of Rals Braddaig, my Jedi Shadow OC who serves the part of the "Green Jedi Knight" in the story, a relation to Star Wars and the Arthurian legend. With Rals serving as more of a background role, Kent is free to take the place of Captain America and other heroes who I'd probably piss off if I wrote the wrong way. So that's another reason to add him into the story.

Yes, it's fun to write characters that people know and originally, I hadn't intended for any original characters of mine or anyone else to be in my Dan Vs. story. But, I found out it's a lot easier to use original characters to avoid pissing off readers for out of character, OOC moments. That doesn't mean they don't still happen, but it's a lot less frequent. Fluffle Puff is already someone else's OC, but she doesn't talk much, so that makes her easy to write.

Anyway, this video and the art makes Kent just a little bit more real, more fleshed out, more solid and more... well, actual and real than other characters. Not real real, but you get the idea; he's in another medium that's an interactive form, so he's easier to imagine doing stuff.

Good day Barro, hope all is well. I had to stop reading this in fear of spoilers as I have been away for quite some time ⚔ and sadly have not had the privilege of finishing out the last couple dozen chapters of the season, (my intense look of shock at finally logging back in to find it listed as complete!) With around sixty unread chapters. BTW thanks for giving me a few good laughs whilst getting put back together, you're work is loved and very much appreciated.

All said I've got a long ways to go chapters wise, still sleeping a lot but am very excited to see how Dan and the gang wrap this up.

Cheers ~Dollars

Thanks mate, happy to have you along for the ride. I even released a side story- Dan Vs. Avatar, but I'm taking a break before I dive into Season 2. Have some shit to work out, but I fully intend to keep writing about our favorite violent sociopath Dan soon enough. Good to see you, my best wishes. I gave your latest story a like, by the way.
