Well, I tried to go the ebook exclusive route. That didn't work. 
Within a day, Trick Question demanded I state a price for getting Soft Spot printed, and so they helped fund both RacingWolf extending the background of the cover art, and the processing/shipping fees for a few test prints. Happy to say I'm now a published author of two books. 
In retrospect, I'm not sure why I was so gung-ho on trying to make the online-only angle work. I tend to get obsessed with a particular idea, even if it isn't optimal. Hurray OCD, I suppose. 
At any rate, you'll find all the original information about Soft Spot in this blog. All I'm here to add is that, should you choose to buy the physical version and directly support me as a writer, it's $15 + shipping, is paperback at 164 pages, and comes with four internal artworks done by CitreneSkys/PaintedSNEK. Those who have also purchased KoLB will be able to see how much Citrene has improved as an artist just in this past year, since KoLB's printing.
