Announcing My Second Book (and first eBook), 'Soft Spot' · 2:43pm Jun 24th, 2022
Cover art once again done by my good friend, RacingWolf
Over the past few months I've chipped away at this passion project piece by piece. I'm glad to say that it's finally finished.
As I've talked about in certain past blogs, platonic love and sibling relationships are my biggest source of creative drive. The King of Love Bugs addressed both of these topics in its own way, but after it was published I found myself wanting to do something for sibling dynamics, specifically. Not necessarily a new, large-scale story, or even a fully printed book, but something in the same format.
And so, I decided to make an eBook collection of my best stories about MLP siblings.

~ Important Information ~
1: Unlike KoLB, Soft Spot is free. I designed Soft Spot's PDF to mimic KoLB—even down to hiring the same internal artwork artist. Because Soft Spot is so much shorter, my hope is that new readers will sample it, and if they enjoy it, may consider purchasing KoLB, which is not only a physical book but is five times the length and has eight times the artwork.
* Free as it is, though...
I will take the opportunity to mention my Ko-Fi. Tips and donations from anyone who would like to support me are greatly appreciated.
2: Unlike KoLB, Soft Spot is a distributed PDF file. I looked into ways of getting it hosted so that people might be able to read it like a true online eBook, but the only two options I've found are chancing removal from eBook sites that probably won't like fan fiction, or purchasing a subscription for any number of software that do the same thing for you, locally.
There are, however, advantages to this format. For desktop users using Acrobat Reader or any other dedicated PDF reader, you can take advantage of the thorough bookmarking I've done throughout the file, letting you easily navigate to any artwork or story chapter you want.
You'll find the same bookmarks when viewing the downloaded file in-browser on desktop. Go to 'Toggle Sidebar' in the upper left of the screen, then click 'Show Document Outline'.
3: There are some exclusions...
Some of you may notice that only six of my eight stories about siblings are present. This is because My Sister, Scootaloo and From Your Brother, With Love are what I'd call problematic outliers. Not only are they old, sizeable pieces in need of major editing, they were also very experimental works that I do not look back at super fondly. If I were to edit these for inclusion I'd essentially be re-writing them from the ground up in order to be satisfied, and your boy doesn't have time for that kinda nonsense these days.
So, they'll remain FIMFic exclusives.
For those who haven't read some or any of these stories before, I hope you now take the chance to.
Let me know what you think, and be sure to give love to both RacingWolf and CitreneSkys for their contributions once again.
I will leave you all with one of my latest sister commissions, seeing as I've mostly kept my art habits to Twitter, lately.
Artwork by BuizelCream, dialogue by yours truly.
Based on the ending of the Make Your Mark special.
Eeeee!!! So going to download!!
Now how much do we need to pay you for a physical copy?

Enough to commission Racing Wolf to extend the cover to have a spine and back cover.
The book is so short even with liberal spacing that I figured I'd go the eBook/customized PDF route, since I hadn't done that yet. But if people want to fund a printed version I'm not gonna say no.
I love Rainbow's cocky grin in the first image with Scootaloo looking up at her, utterly starstruck. Rainbow is reveling in this. Yes, she cares deeply about Scootaloo, but she also loves it when ponies pay attention to her because she DOES love being The Hero.
Why do all the best news come when I'm working 24-hour shifts and checking them out right away is tricky?
Anyway. A physical copy of this would be a nice thing (I like reading from paper much more than from a screen, and after all, I didn't get that huge-a$$ custom-made bookshelf to watch it remain half-empty), but if there isn't enough interest for you to actually bother going through with it, oh well

Just let me know and I'll be happy to send you some funding for it.

Lemme talk to Racing Wolf and get back to you.
This is everything. Literally. Three sibling pairs all in one.
Apologies for not seeing it sooner.
Cool, I’ll be sure to familiarize myself. I last read this serious literature for example "12 angry men" and I already know how important it is to relax after that too. In addition, I understood little from the plot itself, because it is still here https://graduateway.com/essay-examples/12-angry-men/ read an essay about 12 angry men and there I have become more clear in general what the author wanted to say, there was a detailed review, I recommend also to read when the time will be. Good luck, I hope it was good for you.
