We are at day 100 of the fascist invasion of Ukraine (I don’t feel a need to pretend it is anything else).
Two-thirds of all Ukrainian children have been forced to flee their homes. Approximately one-quarter of the population has fled abroad. Many of those who remained in occupied areas have been kidnapped (“displaced”) into the Russian interior, including 230,000 children. The mayor of Mariupol estimates 20,000 civilian deaths in his city alone. WHO estimates roughly 300 attacks on hospitals, ambulances, and healthcare workers. Russian soldiers are renaming streets (to more ‘Russian’ names), kidnapping politicians, burning Ukrainian books, and torturing and executing civilians. A cultural and literal genocide is underway, held at bay by the Ukrainian army and the support of Western arms and institutions.
I have muns, and have donated. I could always donate more, but I kinda feel the need to try something else.
So. Let’s talk commissions.
I will take a run of 10 flashfics, 1k words each, for $20 each. Every penny of that will go to Afya, a charity that transports medical supplies to areas of global scarcity (like approximately 100% of Ukraine). It’ll be parkour style – give me a concept or an elevator pitch and I’ll make it. Nothing M rated, but idk you can stretch that T label best as you like. Everything will be posted in a single anthology fic.
One per customer. Might expand that if I get too few bites. If I get too many then I’ll make a waiting list for if/when I take another run. It will take me at least a few weeks to get through so please be patient.
Post below to request yours with the description (or you can send it privately but still post here for bookkeeping). When I accept I’ll send the payment details. I’ve never done this before, so it seems like the best idea is to take the muns, pay the charity, then post a screenshot.
I don’t like taking commissions in general but I mean there are 14 million refugees so like I can suck it up just this once. So give me work. Maybe help advertise this, idk.

An alternative would be to place a donation directly with the charities of your choice. This way we can all skip the 5% paypal surcharge. I am not against adding this to the charitable donation if you would prefer this way.

I know they're just flashfics, but I will try to do each one justice. I will be out of town for most of the week so there might be delays, but these will be my fic-writing priority which will go before all other projects.
Again this is literally my first time doing something like this so suggestions are welcome if you have any. I'll start a running tally on the blog for the total raised so far, starting with my own $25.

That is a very generous offer, thank you. However, I would ask you and other Russian bronies seek out other means of helping refugees instead. Given PayPal's ban in Russia I would have no means of collecting the donations, so I don't see how it would be practical for you to go through me. I also admit to being leery of courting any attention from Russian groups given the current unpleasantness.

It's really funny that Russians just nakedly wear the Black Sun Symbol then cite the same symbol as evidence the Ukrainians are Nazis.
