This was a sweet story, Rarity is so generous to her friends yet so savage to her enemies, I love it! And that's cool, you creating a reason why Fluttershy's outfit in the Power Ponies episode looked different than the actual Saddle Rager's outfit in the comics

I love Rarity's confidence. She's right. She is that good.

A bucket of dice is the most appropriate omniconvention prize ever. :yay::moustache::duck:

Aww, you go Starlight! You can do it!! You won't come in last forever, if you just keep up the practice

absolutely perfect :D and how dare you enable my use of Starlight as a dump for my personal issues by making her my exact age

She caught ‘pagan earth pony bullshit’ in her throat. “...Holiday,

just some casual racism
Also the use of the word "pagan" implies that there is a mainstream Abrahamic religion in Equestria
Also starlight is 41???? I guess it was hard to tell because every mare before age 60 looks identical..

As a unicorn who even reformed has just zero hesitation with using her magic on others without consent, I definitely do headcanon Starlight as having a bit of a unicorn-focused worldview. She's getting better...

Ooh, now I want to read that story! I've kind of avoided it since it seems very violent and I don't really enjoy reading anything with horror/horror elements (especially before bed). But it's going on my Read Later list now, for sure

Well, if it helps tempt you in, the series is definitely a slice-of-life comedy-slash-heartwarming found family with little to no actual 'horror' to speak of.

Alright! I'll definitely check it out when I get the chance

As it turns out, trying to hurt a child who lives in the house of people who are very good at killing monsters, is a bad idea. Who could possibly have guessed?

“Qing Dynasty?” Human history was not Sunset’s strong suit, but she’d gotten better. “I thought they were wiped out.”

He got better. The undead have a tendency to do that.

Oh, a Jiang Shi. Nice variation of vampire.

Also, poor Luna, even in retirement she can't help but being overshadowed by her big sister.

Sunny seems like she's getting her first steps into monster-hunting. Adorable.

I really thought you were done with this series so I'm glad to see a bit more of it.

the idea that Maud would be one of the few mortal ponies that could keep up with Celestia, and that Celestia would appreciate Maud's very long-term outlook on things really makes this work, and Celestia doing what it takes to be a good ruler and not distant from her ponies, and struggling with the distance between her and her subjects, is always great to see. and a bonus mention of Maud x Frazzle Rock, love it! thank you so much!

If I got my myths right, a stake to the heart actually isn't a jiangshi's weakness. That's more for the "standard" vampire.

Although it's not like a jiangshi has any particular regenerative properties anyway (the rigor mortis is a tip-off). So while a stake to the heart isn't mandatory, it will kill it just as well as a stake to the heart will kill anything.

Huh, not only am I surprised that they don't have a safe-room, considering their family's history, but I'm also surprised that Starscout's room isn't the safe-room by default.

Also, I was going to suggest they get a dog, but then remembered their experiences with werewolves. And Twilight's robo-dog would just go all skynet on 'em. Maybe send a dog through the portal and back, and turn it talking?

Twilight winced and twitched her wings. “I’m not a demigod.”

“I was talking about Pinkie but sure"

Love this zinger so much :pinkiecrazy:

“Be my girlfriend,” Maud said in the same dull monotone as ever. “Please.”

i ship it 👍

"Pagan Earth pony bullshit" sounds exactly like how exhausted Starlight would think about the Running of the Leaves. :duck:

OH. MY. GOD. I've read about 7-8 stories from you with Celestia in them, and I am no critic, but I can say without a doubt that you nail Celestia's characterisation to a T. Not Princess Celestia mind you "Celestia". That personal, energetic, loving, caring if a little childish side that is still aware of her responsibilities and carries a deep love for her subjects and the ponies/people under her care. You manage to capture both the characterisations of Eqg Celestia and fim Celestia.
Speaking as someone whose favorite characther is Celestia, you have one of the best writings of her I've ever seen. Even when she is Princess Celestia she still has emotions and motivations and priorities. She is determined.
I am speaking for all your stories featuring Celestia that all of them go to my favorites list!
By the way, while it seems like I am only complimenting your writing of Celestia I must admit that I am just a fan of your writing style in general! So close and personal but never immature <3 You can literally feel the characthers.
With much love

Thank you! She is one of my favorites too, and I'm happy to do her justice.
