    Seashell: getting closer to print!

Here's where we are on the Seashell print book:
83 pages all told, including front matter and a preface. 75 of them so far are story. Anticipating about 10-20 more pages to be finished. Almost there!
Cover's done (for the hardcover edition dust-jacket, at least, will probably have to be redone for the paperback but whatever).

    Jinglemas 2023, done!

I wrote this thing for Penguifyer, and today is my assigned day to deliver the gift, so I guess this is when the story drops:

    TLost
Twilight, on her new wings, couldn't find her way around Cloudsdale. It may have left more of mark on her than she wants to admit. Written for Jinglemas 2023.

I hope they enjoy it, and I hope all of you will too!

I'm pleased to be able to say progress is being made, although to temper the good news, it hasn't been entirely easy.

I'm gonna be part of the Pony ASMR Project! Also, other things. · 12:32am May 20th, 2022

The Pony ASMR Project put out a call for writers to apply a little while ago.

Guess who applied?
And guess who got a callback?
And guess who passed the audition piece they asked me to write?
And guess who got hired?

Not gonna lie, it feels pretty darn good to get picked for a job.
And it's writing! Sure, it's just to write one script, for now, but it's kinda nice to have a writing project again, and I'm having fun with it.
I can't give you any details right now. Production is an ongoing process, and largely out of my hooves, so I don't want to give you any wrong information.

But that's what I've been working on lately, in case anypony out there was wondering. Just thought I'd let you all know.

I also want to dig into another long writing project entirely of my own again soon, but I'm not sure which one of several possibilities to focus on. Probably should have already been well into working at whatever project comes next by now, but I'm not gonna lie, spending five years on Sunrise, combined with the emotional sledgehammer of writing the ending and the timing of publishing during EFNW left me needing an extended vacation of sorts. I mean that, of course, in the best way. The whole process of creating and releasing Sunrise and watching it become everything I hoped it would be was incredibly positive for me. It's just that sometimes you can get drained by too much of a good thing.

Sounds like bragging, I know, but most of that really isn't entirely about me - so much of the success of Sunrise is down to the help I had from my editing team, and to my followers who hung on while I endlessly hyped the project, and to the readers who put it in the feature box, and the people at Equestria Daily, and... well. You know. Nothing that is a shared experience (like telling a story) happens in a vacuum. It doesn't happen and doesn't become what it is without all of you.

But like I said... I guess I did need a break from it, once it was all finally said and done.

I feel more rested now, though! So I think it's time to get back on the horse (pony) and get back to writing something long once again.
...Maybe clean up and finally publish some short stories I've got still waiting to see the light of day first, though.
Hopefully before EFNW of this year, where I hope to see some of you again and maybe meet more of you wonderful readers.
We'll see.

That's great, but what is this project? Some fan thing on YouTube?
