This one's particular poignant. Singing this on January 1 is a twelve year tradition at this point.
So fun facts 1) Did you know you don't have to be epileptic to have seizures? 2) and if you have a seizure lasting longer than five minutes you just straight out have a 20% chance of dying in the next thirty days, apparently
Here’s where I talk about this new story, 40,000 words long and written in just over a week. This is in no way to say it’s rushed, quite the opposite; It wouldn’t have been possible if I wasn’t so excited to put it out. I would consider A Complete Lack of Jealousy from All Involved a prologue more than a prequel, and suggested but not necessary reading.
Commission rates $20USD per 1,000 words. Story ideas expected between 4K-20K preferable. Just as a heads up, I’m trying to put as much of my focus as I can into original work for publication, so I might close slots quickly or be selective with the ideas I take. Does not have to be pony, but obviously I’m going to be better or more interested in either original fiction or franchises I’m familiar
My brain diagnosis ended up way funnier than "We'll name it after you". It turned out to be "We know this is theoretically possible because there was a recorded case of it happening once in 2003". It turns out that if you have bipolar disorder and ADHD and PTSD and a traumatic brain injury, you get sick in a way that should only be possible for people who have no
I planned on making it this year but then ran into an unfortunate case of the kill-me-deads. In the moment I needed to make a call whether to cancel or not, and I knew I was dying from something but didn't know if it was going to be an easy treatment or not.
Damn, some of these look almost more like paintings than photos. Always a joy to see these photography blogs. Dunno if you make any money from this, but you undoubtedly could.
Adobe Lightroom - It's more designed for doing big sweeping adjustments to the whole piece at once, rather than detail work and manipulation. But the two are integrated into the same suite the way After Effects and Premiere are, so it's useful to have both skillsets.
But like, one advantage of Lightroom is that it's really easy to make composites. A lot of the striking ones are the result of taking photos at different exposure levels, and then I press a button in Lightroom and it'll pull the shadow information from the highest exposure, and the highlights information from the darkest, which is how you get shots like the third and fourth one - able to really push the exposures to their limits while keeping all the details preserved. With Lightroom I just select the group of photos, hit ctrl-H, and it magically combines them.
5625391 So, this is a sneaky way to get high dynamic range images? Very cool! I am often asked to produce 3D stuff in EXR format, which looks horrible to me, but the compositing guys work their magic and it ends up looking gorgeous and merging with their footage seamlessly. I'm just astounded by how much there is to know about color, format, and processing in photography!
Your stuff is looking fantastic and I'm eager to see what you do in the future. I wish I knew more about the business end of things and could advise you as to how to get paying jobs. Your images certainly look as good or better than a lot of professional work.
If you have any of those before-afters on the 3D composite, I'd love seeing that. I haven't touched so much as Blender since about 2012, I'd love to see what I'm missing out on.

Blender is completely different nowadays. I used Maya for almost all my career, and tried Blender when I got out of the games industry. It was horrible (IMHO) and on the other side of the galaxy from intuitive. But just a couple of years ago, I gave it another try for a simple 3D job (because I didn't want to split my paycheck with Autodesk) and found that it had become a whole different beast. Very professional, intuitive (mostly), and friendly to a Maya user.
5625343 I wholeheartedly agree with that! These, especially the city-scapes, look like something from the background of many of the better anime shows I have seen. Simply amazing! Well done!
All heavily retouched, because I was going for specific feelings - ideally I want to start using some of these for visual novels. 3 and 4 are HDR composites too, so I got a lot of versions of them out because there was simply so much raw information to play with.
Some of them look like screenshots from anime.

A recurring objective of mine is "could I use this as a background image for a visual novel"

Then you succeed splendidly!

Also it’s bear with me

I have no idea how to make money from this
Wow, some of these are quite striking! Filters, Photoshop, or a combination of both?

Specifically, dystopian anime.
Is the violet sky in the first photo unretouched?
What about photos #3 and 4?
