I feel like we need an epic pony story that deals with this conflict. Maybe, G5 happened in Equestria when somepony put pineapple on pizza which opened pandora's box?

I like pineapple on pizza with ham and cheese.
I like Hawaiian-style pizza (funnily enough it was originally created in British Columbia). I don't get the hate for pineapple on pizza, sure, you might not like it, but there is enough of a demand for it that pizzareas continue to make it. There are people out there who put ketchup on mac-n-cheese, or think salt & vinegar potato chips are the best thing ever, I personally think both are gross, but I'm not gonna fault someone for liking what they like, hell, I like black liquorice even though I know a whole bunch of people who hate it.
The Pizza Wars; Equestria's tragic tale of irreconcilable differences splitting the country apart. When Princess Twilight Sparkle returned to Equestria through the crystal mirror and brought the human invention of "pizza" and how to make it with her, nopony was prepared to handle such advanced technology.
The pegasi already have a fanon diet of eating fish, so they believed anchovies were the best topping. The earth ponies, with their propensity for farming fruits and vegetables, believed pineapple was the best topping. The unicorns, used to working underground to extract gems and crystals, felt mushrooms were the only rational choice. The crystal ponies, under the efforts of Princess Cadance and Prince Shining "Corndog" Armor to modernize, believe in pepperoni peetzer with a religious ferver. The thestrals of course would only accept meatlover's.
These five tribes of ponies, each defined by what pizza topping they felt was the best, brought the world to the brink of destruction. Centuries later, G5 is all that remains of the once magical Equestria.

I only like pineapple on a sweet-sauced Hawaiian pizza (where the spices are made to go with the pineapple). Other than that, I don't like cooked pineapple at all, and definitely not on pizza.
