So you all may not be aware, but aside from working on Princess Celestia: The Changeling Queen print novel, the majority of my time has been spent hammering away at an original fiction serial that I'm very proud of and am on my way into turning into a self-published book. I've plugged it on my blog here a few times before, but now I have moar art and art gets views sooooo here's the almost-finished cover that will be on the Kindle version of my book, by quietvictories the same artist who did my Princess Celestia The Changeling Queen Print novel coverart. (Which is why I've tagged Princess Celestia: The Changeling Queen here because well, you might be all interested to see more of his artwork, which is freaking fantastic).
I mean, just LOOK AT THAT ART!!!!! Seriously. He actually did line art for all those leaves + hand-drawn textures to overlay them.
Anyway, but what is "A Fractured Song"? Well it's a online serial, like most pony fanfics, except this story is entirely original. What is it about?
Frances's life was horrible, and even when she is transported to another world, she can't escape her trauma.
After years of beatings and neglect from her parents, 13-year old Frances was summoned with her entire class to the fantastical world of Durannon to fight the monsters invading the human kingdoms and defeat the "Demon King." If she succeeds, she might have the home she never had. But if she can't overcome the trauma and self-loathing inflicted on her by her abusive parents, Frances will die, and be summoned back to the home she escaped, on the day that she left.
Will Frances be overcome by the scars of abuse, or would she, with the help of her mentor, take the first steps to heal?
Why should you read Fractured Song now?
Well, it has a lot of what made what you all like my works. Drama, action, adventure, and a lot of heart. Also, I fully intend of publishing book 1 of this serial (the first 70-80 thousand words) winter this year (which means I have to take that part that is online down) so this is an opportunity to read up on the free version on on the webnovel hosting site Royal Road and if you like Reddit, on Redditserials.

And thank you for reminding me about the rabbit hole known as Royal Road... I had completely forgotten about it since all the fics I had tracked on there hadn't updated in a year, two years later... they still haven't. XD
