I know 2020 was a rough year for damn near everyone, and 2021 ain't shaping up to be that much better, but I wanted to tell you all something - hang in there, it'll be ok.
I've been around the block a fair share of times, and been through some pretty wild stuff. Lost various family members, been forced to move a few times, had a couple of dreams slip through my fingers, and even watched my father die. I'm not saying this as some pity party, dick-measuring contest - I'm saying this because that regardless of who you are, your age, where you're from, or how rough your situation is, it can get better. No matter how tough times are, don't give up. Dig your heels in, put your shoulder into the wind, and soldier on.
I'm not saying it'll be easy - in fact, it'll more than likely be pretty damn hard, but it'll be worth it. Bad times pass, and a change of luck can always be lurking right around the corner, so keep on keeping on. Hope might sound like a fickle thing, but it's kept more people going than you probably realize. Be thankful of what you have, while striving to better yourself and improve your situation.
A lot of folks don't realize all the great things they have in life. Friends, family, pets, or even having a bed to sleep on are luxuries that some folks don't get - take it from me, I'd know, I've gone without them all at some point or another. Again, I ain't saying this to be a sad sack - I just want folks to appreciate what they have while they have it.

At the end of the day, no matter who you are, you still wipe your ass like everyone else - well, I mean, unless you're that one guy with hooks for hands, but you get my point.
Seriously though, we've all got more commonalities than we do differences. Everyone's got parents, has basic needs, and desires; if we can all remember and focus on that, instead of what stands us apart from one another, the world would be a little bit better.

Perspective, it's all perspective. When Leonidas and crew laughed under a shield dome during a rain of arrows because someone said "fighting in the shade ". To most that's grim humor, but for some it's simple everyday life. If someone handed you a bag of shit what would you do? Most would be outraged, others would be saddened, and I would simply put it on my garden because it would promote growth. Thank you Leech for putting things into perspective!
