Sombra's Bat is, in my opinion, my best piece of writing. It's taken a lot of effort, and it's up to 95k words.
But something happened to it.
Dun dun duuuuuuun!!!
Don't worry, it's not been cancelled or deleted or lost or anything like that. Although, arguably, its fate at the present could be far worse than that.
My arch-nemesis good friend Techie has a free service. You can sell your soul story to him in return for free promotion. Well, you don't exactly sell the story to him, but you give him permission to write a spin-off chapter that completely and utterly annihilates the Random tag in one of his stories. And I posted a link to Sombra's Bat in the comments.
Well, the chapter was just released, and it made me laugh so hard I cried, which I haven't done in a while.
Gasp!
So I thought I should share this masterpiece with you. Techie claims the story has the power to melt your brain cells, but I've read every chapter and so far nothing like that has happened, so it's safe.
Oh, and here's a link to the chapter in question. It's called I whacc u with batt, which gives you a rough idea of how crazy the story actually is.

When I started writing I thought this would be 10k tops, but I only had the first 10 chapters planned. Then it got longer.

You post your story in the comments, and Techie writes a chapter based on it. He gives you promotion in the author's notes in return for the idea. The downsides are that he doesn't have the time to read your story the whole way through and write a proper chapter, and he usually judges stuff based on the cover and long description. But it's a good way of showing your story to readers who wouldn't normally see it.

I have most of the way through planned by now, but the worst is when the universe gives me access to writing tools. I use ten paragraphs when one sentence would suffice, and before I knew it, I'm at 110K without having even finished what was meant to be the Prologue...

Hmmm, that does sound interesting.... though my stories are usually rather serious or dark, so I'm not sure how to come up with anwacky description, now that I've checked...
Still, I might consider it. It does sound like fun... I kind of wonder how many stories one person can submit, though.
