    Does anyone know this story?

Okay... I regret that I don't have much in the way of updates on existing stories. I assure you that I have been working on 14th C, Homecoming, and The New Blood, but my inspiration has been... fickle.

I'm going back through some stories I remember liking on this site so as to put some fuel on the creative fire and get my brain back onto the right train of thought.

Stories I Never Started, Won’t Start, Wish I Could Start

I barely have time to work on the stories I’m currently plugging away at. (“WE KNOW!” comes the shout of the Angry Mob). Worse, even when I do have time I’m often so mentally exhausted that I don’t want to write.

    You, YOU SPECIFICALLY, Matter

Coming up on May, which I am told is suicide prevention month, it’s been on my heart to talk about why you, you specifically, matter.

    The New Blood, Haitus Ends

After months of not publishing anything in any story, The New Blood wasn't the story I expected to come back with, but it's the one I managed to finish. Not that I haven't worked on A 14th Century Friar or Homecoming (I have), but New Blood for whatever reason called me back to the frontline.

Don't Hate Russians for Their Government's Actions

The title of this blog post really says it all, but I'll say it again once more for the people in the back:

"Don't hate Russians for the actions of their government."

Chapters Will Come... Eventually · 1:58am Nov 2nd, 2020

Hello, 14th C Friar fans (and fans of other stories, as this applies to those as well). Just a quick update here:

I'm not dead, and neither are my active stories.

Life has been, in a word, "complihectibusycated." I've had a lot on my plate that's just been... a lot, and that has significantly sapped my energy and ability to lose myself in the writing process. I've barely strung two words together for anything remotely related to creative writing for, well, a painfully long time.

I was grateful to FOME for the Ponidox contest in large part because writing Daring Do and the Ditzy of Infinite Possibility (easily one of the odder story ideas I've had) got me back into the writing saddle. Up until then, it had probably been two months, at least, since I'd even attempted to write something.

But I'm getting back into it now - I'm sifting through my notes and partial chapter sections, not just in 14th C Friar, but in other stories as well. I can't say any updates will be soon - in fact, I can practically guarantee they won't - but they will come.

Thank you all for your patience. Writing for you all is truly a delight for me, and I hope to get back into the swing of things over the next few months. Assuming some things come together, I'll be able to get back to a more regular schedule as we enter the new year.

In the meantime, please enjoy this beautiful artwork I found of the Winged Hussars at Vienna.

-Lots of clone troopers are bald
-Kenobi is dressed as a clone trooper
-General Kenobi, you are a bald one

Glad to hear from you. Here's hoping the complihectibusycations clear up soon.

It took Ewan McGregor three years in real life to become convincingly ten years older in the films, so this isn’t that shocking.:rainbowlaugh:

I'm glad to hear your stories and more importantly you aren't dead. Sorry to hear life has decided to come at you sideways that's always the pits. I wish you the absolute best and know I'll be waiting when you get back in the saddle your stories are to good not to wait for. You got this 👍👍👍

I can't think of anything meaningful to add, so I'll just second this sentiment.

Meanwhile, this song was playing:

Hope things go less mind-melty for you in coming days.

I’m sorry life has gone mad, as it does. I’m glad it’s on the upswing. Hope it stays that way.

You have been in my daily prayers my friend, you're worth waiting for.
Loved an image.:rainbowlaugh::moustache:

Didn't the Siege of Vienna (that Siege of Vienna) happen in 1683, though? Fantastic image, though, really captures the moment.

And don't worry! While I personally have been a bit bummed out by the fact that 14th C hasn't updated in a long time, I can completely understand being unable to write this year. And that's not even taking into account anything that might be going on in your particular life. Glad to hear life's better now, and I'll be awaiting patiently for your return.

Complihectibusycated. Yeah, I can relate.

Yeah, I'm not really sure why the picture says 1776. And that is clearly the only odd thing about the picture.
