It doesn't matter what side you're on. Both consider these dark times. You don't have to agree on what the other side considers "bad", but that doesn't mean they aren't also seeing things as such.

Like, you either believe in science, in which case the only real reason you can advocate not pivoting massively for climate change today is if you believe we are going to invent a miracle energy efficient rapid carbon capture & sequestration technology. Like, it's a bit pipe dream-y, but at least if someone hypothetically believed that, it'd make some sense why they were anti-pivot today.

But yea, a group with their heads in the sand refusing the one constant in life - that change is inevitable - is not an equivalent.

My point is right wing anger is about loss of status perceived or real. That's it. And most of it is anxiety and anger over untrue things.

The left is angry because the world is burning, because we've had years of minority rule in the white house, and because there's are systemic disadvantages ensuring a right wing minority keeps winning.

My entire point is they aren't equivalent and shouldn't be treated that way because one is focused on racists and now possibly attempting a coup and the other.... Isn't.

Which makes one side rather more legitimate, and one side a case of " your actions speak far louder than your words"
