Blaze the Pony Tale, featuring Illustrations · 9:38pm Sep 15th, 2020
As some of you may have noticed, my story, "Blaze the Pony Tale" (formerly known as "MLP: The Story Retold") now features a new cover art, courtesy of Hoodwinked MCShelster. I have become a frequent customer of Hoodwink in order to purchase artworks and illustrations for "Blaze the Pony Tale".
So far, she has done three commissions for me, including the new cover art. These are, as follows:
This was my first commission and it features my OC and the mane hero of the story, Midnight Blaze, as he originally was, wearing his Harmonic Armor, standing in front of Mount Canterhorn with Canterlot visible on the mountainside. To Midnight's right are bust images of Twilight Sparkle, his eventual love interest, and another OC of mine, Twinken.
To his left is Princess Celestia and... well, in case you're new to the story, I won't spoil who that cloaked pony is, but for those of you who have read the story I'm pretty sure you can guess the identity of the Hooded Pony.
The background shows the scene during sunset and above are a pair of malevolent eyes belonging to the (eventual) main antagonist of my story.
Next, we have...
This is actually the latest commission I've purchased from Hoodwink. It shows Midnight meeting Twilight and Spike for the first time, where he offers to be their tour guide when they first arrive in Ponyville to oversee the preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration.
There's an obvious attraction between the two unicorns while Spike is oblivious, simply not understanding what's going on, the innocent little guy
In my story, Midnight, along with Big Macintosh and Thunderlane, play protagonist roles alongside the original Mane Six. Though in my story, it's the Mane 9 (until much later on). This is when they first became clad in their armor, which was right after Nightmare Moon's defeat.
Originally, these three stallions served a role where they are called the Guardians of Harmony, their job to protect the bearers of the Elements of Harmony, which includes Midnight. The reason Midnight is the only one with a helmet is because he too is an element bearer and his helmet holds his Element of Faith similar to Twilight having worn a crown that bore the Element of Magic.
I intend to continue making commissions with Hoodwink, who is a wonderful artist and to whom I am extremely grateful for these artworks and her hard work, taking the time, and being patient with me in making sure they come out the way I want them to. Every single one was well worth the wait and I look forward to more in the future, meaning I'll post more blogs to display the artworks of Hoodwink so everyone sees what she is contributing to my story.
Thank you very much, Hoodwink, and I look forward to many more commissions in the future
I look very forward to seeing more artworks as well. I love seeing awsome artworks
These are amazing pieces of work.
Great pieces of work! cant’s wait to see more, almost makes me want to read the story from the beginning again.
