Blue, Dagger, Stinger, Mantis, and Zenex sat in front of the four older changelings’ instruments.

“Okay Zen. We’re rewriting your song, and we want you to sing okay?” Blue asked.

“Okay. I remember my parts.”

Blue smiled and watched as the others grabbed their instruments.

Move behind the lines,
A nymph is breaking the confines!

A force deployed from the Queen’s hive.
A war on pony soil, await the changeling recruits
And hidden amidst, among their ranks
a Private of a different age discovers his roots.

Enter battle, the guards have him pinned,
Then this changeling invoke the spirits of the mist.

Move behind the lines,
A young nymph breaking the confines
He’s another Devil Horn,
A young nymph turned scout is revealed.
Made his way from trench to trench alone, moving undetected.

And in the trees of White Tail Woods,
His glowing horn of reinforcements leading the way.
And at the Battle of Arabia,
Trot a long way over the desert sands and fire away.

In Saddle Arabia, the guards have him pinned,
Private Zenex invoked the spirits of the sand.

A young nymph...

Under fire!

My shadow roams the battlefield,
Move behind their lines,
I’m running and breaking the confines
I’m just another changeling soldier,
My scouting shadow is revealed.
Made my way from trench to trench alone, moving undetected.

Zenex stayed and fought them on his own.
Made his way until the end,
Alone!

The four cheered and congratulated the nymph.

“Heh, thanks guys,” Zen said, looking down.

Blue smiled. “No problem, Changeling in the Trenches.”
