    River City Equestria Girls?

Seriously, that's Pinkie Pie on the left, and Rainbow Dash on the right. Tell me I'm wrong.

I will not write a fanfic about the two of them getting into all the fights.

    Probably.

An "I don't have livejournal anymore" sort of update.

    It snowed yesterday.

Which just reminded me how much I don't like winter. It wasn't even a bad snow, just enough of a dusting to linger for a little bit. First one of the season. And I even had the day off from work, due to my schedule, so it's not like I had to do anything ...

    So I didn't.

    Happy Halloween!

So yeah. Despite various distractions (Steam had Darkest Dungeon for UNDER FOUR BUCKS), I've managed to hammer out a ridiculously shippy conclusion to the self indulgent Rarijack story I started.

So that's fun? I gave myself a deadline to finish things on Oct 31, so that's what I did, dangit. Hopefully you guys will enjoy.

Hasbro owns pony.

Hasbro owns D&D.

Therefore, this was kinda inevitable.

How long 'til we get character tags/fanfic of this bunch? Or heck, one could argue that these are basically the Mane 6's D&D characters-- except there's not quite a Rarity analogue, so ... is she DMing? Or maybe Spike's running the game, and Rarity opted not to play because she didn't want him to make things awkward by dumping all the treasure/story spotlight on her character. Or maybe Rarity just thinks they're all dorky nerds and went off to be popular or something.

If I were a more ambitious man, I'd run with this. But then again, I already wrote Let Me Tell You About My Character, so I may have used up most of my nerd-game jokes already. Huh.

So, y'know, go read that story if you haven't already. And then the sequel.

And then the rest of my stuff, while you're at it. It'll be good for you. Somehow.

Is... this for real?
If so, where can I get a copy?

I sincerely hope for this party’s sake that Woodheart is of the Circle of the Moon. If she isn’t, that would make Valor the party’s only solid front-liner.

Err... I would peg Rarity as the rogue - especially when she goes all Sam Spade.
It's AJ who's missing here.

Meh. Just get Ponyfinder for Pathfinder, and you're set.

I'm just surprised they didn't call it Dungeons & Discord. That at least sounds better.

I would buy it.

Merchandising, Merchandising! Where the real money is made!

5319265

Hmmm. It's tricky, I suppose. The 'pranks on her friends' thing threw me off. Rarity's definitely smarter than Rainbow, so if she's the Rogue, then I guess Rainbow's playing the Barbarian ... and Applejack doesn't get to play 'cause Granny Smith heard D&D was devil-worship or something.

They got Tales of Equestria too, the whole MLP tabletop.

Wonder how it holds up to ponyfinder

If there were a sixth player, AJ would be a Paladin - or maybe a fighter.

With just five, she'll be the innkeeper in that adventure, I guess :pinkiehappy:

:ajsmug:
"Welcome to Sweet Apple Inn, y'all.
Take a load off and stay a while.
But don't break nothin' or you bought it."
:ajbemused:

What kind of pony fashion doesn't show your cutie mark? Must be old timey prudishness, but they don't even have it in their art!

Also, the prominent trademarks by the names are really throwing me off.

5319402
They conspicuously show the ponies wearing clothes, because of course they do... <sigh>

Presumably Hasbro is afraid of offending religious fundamentalists in the Bible belt if they show a bunch of ponies running around naked. Like having cutie marks on their flanks will somehow tempt underage girls to tattoo pictures on their hips or something. <shakes head>

Idiotic. Just... Idiotic.

5319365
As far as I can tell, it's just toys and a screen.

5319334
I figured AJ was the DM. Alternatively, she might just be too busy with farmwork to play.

5319418

Eh. Of Hasbro's flaws, I don't think pearl-clutching prudishness about naked horses is one of them. I mean, look at how many MLP toys come 'naked,' so to speak.

Honestly, they probably just decked the ponies out in all that gear to make them look more D&D-y. If they had less, the effect might come off as more 'pony with a funny collar and maybe a hat' than anything. And besides, most every D&D character's going to wear a cool cloak or cape of some kind, so it'd look weird if their capes cut off at the flank.

I'm sure they've got cutie marks under their gear, and I'm sure someone'll buy the set and take pictures before long.

I just love the fucking names. :D

Er...
Many iconic magic items that players want are clothing items of some sort...
Magic cloak, armor, helmet, etc.

Chainmail bikini isn't really a thing. :)

FTL

5319332
But can you ever imagine a MLP flame thrower? :pinkiehappy:

FTL

5319735
True, but how many of those can you sell at the moichindising store? :pinkiehappy:

I would say AJ is a ranger. A fighter type, but with knowledge of nature and the outdoors, and some kind of lasso-based fighting style.
