Recommend me some fanfic! · 4:34pm Last Wednesday

As while I WRITE a lot of pony, I don’t tend to READ a lot of pony. And it’s a slow day at work and my phone’s ebook app is being a butt.

Thus, fanfic. Preferably something light and comic and not a bajillionty words long. So, FO:E is out, as is The Enchanted Library (the latter of which I miiiight get around to reading even if it’s an AU that’s not Rarijack. Ehem).

Tumbleweed vs. Dragon Dropped · 7:33pm September 7th

Oh hey, they've still got to air a couple of episodes, don't they?

And oh hey, I was reviewing the S9 episodes as they came out, wasn't I? Kind of lost a couple weeks on account of The Last Bronycon(tm), and therefore thinking fandom was over after that. Ehem.

Still, when I saw the title and description of this week's ep, I got ... curious. And now that I've watched it?

Another call for Beta-readers, and so on! · 1:55pm September 7th

Oh, hello.

So yeah. Last week or two, I've been trying to focus on NON PONY FICTION. Fancy that. Which, well ... is good, but I've also kind of hit one of those 'agh everything I do is terrible' bits about 16k words in. Which, uh, resulted in me just cutting a good 3k of stuff and taking the plot in a slightly different direction, but that's what I get for making things up as I go along.

A Saturday Update · 6:55pm August 31st

In case you haven't been paying attention, I've finished The Princess's Speech. So go read it! It is short and silly. I might put together an epilogue for it at some point, buuuuut I haven't had any particular must-have gags jump out at me just yet.

NPR on BronyCon! And some other junk. · 6:43pm August 14th

Link!

It’s a lot more ... optimistic of a take (he fails to mention lines or dakimuras or whatever), but it’s still an interesting article.

As for me, I’m slowly chipping away at The Princess's Speech. It will be silly.

New Story! · 9:56pm August 11th

Yep, done talking about Bronycon. For the most part.

... well, except that I started buckling down and actually writing this new story while I was at Bronycon but eh what can you do. I've actually had some ideas along these lines for awhile now, so ... whoo?

Things will probably get silly. But that's what you're here for, yes?

More Bronycon Followup. With pictures! · 2:14am August 10th

It's Friday night, and I've got nothing better to do, so, uh ... here's a handful of BronyCon pics!

First off, The Lines. People weren't kidding about 'em. Seriously, here's what the line to the Vendor's Hall looked like on Thursday afternoon. You'd think they were giving out free drugs in there or something.

It was the best of Cons, it was the worst of Cons ... · 3:24am August 5th

One way to tell if you're at a good Con is that you simply won't get to see everything-- there's just too much to do!

One way to tell if you're at a bad con is that you simply won't get to see everything-- because the lines are too goddamn long.

Guess how BronyCon 2019 worked out.

Why yes, I am at BronyCon. · 11:05pm August 2nd

And it’s .... something, all right.

Some of it is good! And ... some not so. As I understand there’s about double the amount of attendees than anticipated. Also Quills & Sofas (which has no quills or sofas) is crammed in with the crafting activities. Huh.

Though apparently The Flash Sentry Papers has already sold out in the BronyCon Bookstore (along with like half the other titles available). So that’s nice. Any of you lucky and discerning readers get one?

BRONYCON, HO! · 5:00am August 1st

In twelve hours, I shall be on a flying machine, en-route to Baltimore.

I should probably sleep some before then.

But until then, a blog post!
