    Klamblog - January 26th, 2024

    Hi.

I have good news! We finally figured out what was wrong. I’m in the process of getting it treated. It requires two surgeries, one of which I had two weeks ago. It went very well, I’m recovering nicely. The second surgery is scheduled for March 5th.

If you want to know specifics, read on.

    Hi.

I’ve had a few developments over the past week. Hard to say how major they are just yet. They’re each certainly significant in their own ways, but they each also have strings attached to them. I’ll do my best to explain.

Personal Update, Story Update · 8:28pm Jul 14th, 2020

Hi.

So, I know it's been a while since I've posted anything. I apologize for that, and I'll give you a small explanation. I'll keep it short and sweet for those who don't like long blarghs.

  • I live in Saint Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota. If you've been keeping tabs on current events, I don't think I need to say much else.
  • I work for the Minnesota Department of Health: Public Health Lab. I only have a tertiary position, but even still, helping out with the pandemic has been insane. We've been on high alert for months. EVERYONE was called to action in some way, shape, or form, and we're only just now returning to our initial positions. I've done data entry for the COVID samples, worked on the COVID hotline, helped Staffing with redistributing talent, and more.

I'm incredibly grateful I've been able to keep my job throughout this crisis. I'm also fully aware that the civil unrest isn't just in my city, but rather has merely been the spark of a much, much larger movement. I don't want anyone to think for a second that I'm belittling the experiences of others, that I'm shitting on anyone, or that I'm trying to make any kind of statement here. All I'm saying is that I've been very busy, very stressed, and those two things aren't conducive to writing horsewords.

So yeah, been frazzled, been frustrated, been doing what I can. Productivity has suffered as a result, but I'm getting back into the swing of things. Still working from home 2 days a week, but hopefully that'll change come this October. We'll see.

Anyway, on to horseword stuff.

TOMB OF THE NAMELESS EVIL
The Tomb of the Nameless Evil Finale is progressing. It's currently 9490 words with about 2500 of that being unedited still. The chapter is currently about 50% ready to go, so if people want, I can put out the first half and then release the second half when it's done. When will that be? Not sure! This finale has had a TON of challenges associated with it, though if you've been reading the story up to this point, you probably have an inkling of just how many threads I'm tying together. It's happening! Really, it is! I'm not J.J. Abrams with his Mystery Box shit or whatever--I actually have substance to my shit! debatedly too much substance but whatever

Please let me know what you guys want me to do. If releasing the first half now would only piss you guys off, then I'll hold onto it until everything is done. I've made a strawpoll here for you guys to vote on--I'll wait a few days before making a decision unless the response is overwhelmingly one way or the other.

FECUNDITY
Chapter 26 has been on my fucking mind for over a year and I am SO READY to write it you have no idea. The outline for the rest of the story is mostly done, although there are some minor details I still want to flesh out. The major beats have been set in stone LITERALLY for years at this point so you don't need to worry about that. For me, outlines give me a good sense of how to possibly create the story, but often times as I'm trying to follow said outline my brain will realize "No, it can't work like that. It needs to work like THIS, otherwise the big thing at the end you want can't happen." That happens a lot and I try to work around it, but I still struggle.

CHANGE IN SCALE
So I'll admit that I'm the holdup on this one. MZ has provided their portion for Chapters 6 AND 7, but I still need to contribute mine. I know, I know, I feel bad. I don't know what else to say, really. I want to get to it as quickly as I can, but as much as i enjoy writing, it takes a lot of focus and concentration. Writing fast and loose or setting deadlines for myself doesn't work--believe me, I've tried. I'm incredibly glad people have been enjoying the story, but there are just as many others who are waiting for me to finish Tomb and continue Fecundity. I'll accept the blame for starting multiple projects at once when I have such a slow output, but the only thing I can do now is say 'it'll be done when it's done'.

Right, so that's pretty much all I wanted to say. Again, for those of you who have been reading Tomb of the Nameless Evil, please vote in THIS POLL so I know what you'd prefer. In the meantime, I hope you all stay safe!

First of all, im glad you are holding up okay, and doubly so you are safe despite it all.

And glad that things are good despite the rough times.

I hope you have a great month!

Oh yeah I keep forgetting you're a medical badass.

I wouldn't say that. I certainly work with a lot of medical badasses, but I'm just a pencil pusher.

first of all, stay safe... while i haven't read almost any pony words for a long time... can't wait to see new chapters from you, and yet... some things are more important then pony wordz.

Hey, pencil pusher that’s given me a few legit heads up on things. Maybe it saved my friend’s life, maybe it didn’t, but all the same, thank you~!

Just take your time and stay safe. It's a well known fact that stress doesn't help when you want to write something "offers you a hug"

Out of curiosity is there any status update to Dragonsblood Elixir? I haven't been keeping up with the news on that one.

hope your well we missed you

I agreed to take over for David Silver as collaborator on that story, but as both Klamnei and I are busy with life and other projects, it's going to be a long while before we get to it.

Good luck, you will always be my favorite smut smith. Take whatever time you need. :)

i really hope to see another chapter of fecundity some time soon, and a return to the more light hearted prego hijinx when we do or at least some good and proper sexings
