    The Bean is loose!

Okay. Somebody left the front gate open, and Baked Bean has gotten out and wandered off again.

If you happen to spot him, do not approach, do not get him wet, do not expose to direct sunlight, and whatever you do, don't feed him after midnight. (It makes him gassy.)

    Follow up to Bleh

    Modmyths asks:

Have you thought about starting up a Go Fund Me for it?

(It being my broken water line, just to be clear.)

The answer is no, I hadn't thought of that.

    But!

I went out and got more bids, and found a general contractor who could do the job for 3k.

    A Correction

It has come to the attention of management that a typographical error has occurred in chapter 13 of New Noses Know.

Specifically, the name of the thestral being interviewed by Garbanzo and Lima Bean. The story egregiously listed her name as Short Shift.

    Her name is Night Shift.

Me, two weeks ago: Huh, the next chapter of Pregnant Noses is at 7,000 words. I should wrap it up soon.
My Brain: More. You still have some unused plot points.

Me, one week ago: Hey, I'm up to 8,000 words! Not bad. I need to get this finished.
My Brain: Moar! You haven't covered this yet!

Me, two days ago: Um. 8500 words. Getting pretty long.
My Brain: Did I stutter? MOAR! There's all of this you need to show still!

Me, today: timidly Nine thousand, eight hundred and two words. I think this is the longest chapter I've ever written. Can I be done now?
My Brain: huffsWell, I suppose. You still didn't cover a whole bunch of stuff, but it'll have to do.

Off to the editors! :yay:

I know that feeling

I always get skittish when my chapters grow too long, glad I'm not the only one

I'm looking forward to it! I've been reading some really awful Celestia characterization lately, so something happy and nice would be a delightful change of pace.

cant wait to ready it and question r we having a story for nila by any chance?

As in, a story with Nilla as the main character?
Perhaps in time... :trixieshiftright:

I figure it's okay to have longer chapters, so long as they don't drag. But if I go over about 6k works, I'll go over my chapter a bit closer and see if I can cut anything.

If you think your Chapters are to long, why not splitt it into two parts?:trixieshiftleft:

Also, glad to hear that there is something new coming from you.

Tell brain that 2 chapters is moar than 1 chapter.

You do know that the next chapter will be a 10K because your brain shall demand it from you...:trollestia:

I understand how that feels. When you really get into the groove, and suddenly you've written a few thousand more words than you had planned on writting. But regardless, those of us that have been following the Nose series are thrilled at the aspect. Thank you for your work, and for sharing Baked Bean with all of us.

A new chapter of happy, loving Bean family would be great for my depressed mood.

It's coming. Believe it or not, but I actually added even moar to it, so now the editors are going through 11.5k words. :gasp:
