Friendship is Card Games: Trixie and the Razzle-Dazzle Ruse

We return to the pony novels this week, and hopefully a better showing from the titular mare. Last time we saw Trixie in one of these, G. M. Berrow was channeling the fandom circa 2011 and making her and Gilda the designated antagonists of the piece. Let’s see what she’s up to this time.

Friendship is Card Games: Kenbucky Roller Derby #2 & #3

We return to the cutthroat world of G5 roller derby, where Sunny’s trying her darndest to prove she’s more than just a casual skater… and has assembled one of the most ragtag teams of misfits this side of the Mighty Ducks in the process. Let’s see how the story’s developed from there.

    Swan Song

No, not mine. The Barcast's. The last call is currently under way, and if you want to hear my part in the grand interview lightning round, you can tune in at 4:20 Eastern/1:20 Pacific (about an hour from this posting.)

Yes, 4:20 on 4/20. No, I do not partake. Sorry to disappoint. :derpytongue2:

    Pest List

Just something I whipped together for fun one day, set to a possibly recognizable tune, all intended in good fun. And hey, given that I derived my Fimfic handle from a misremembered detail of the Mikado, it's only appropriate. :derpytongue2:

Friendship is Card Games: d20 Pony, Ch. 9, Pt. 1

Goodness, it’s been almost two years since I last checked in on Trailblazer’s adventures. IDW putting out comics almost as quickly as I could review them will do that, especially given all of the G5 video media coming out concurrently.

Because it's not an AMA, it's an ATA! Which is to say an Ask Them Anything.

I'm borrowing the concept from Damaged, who does this with all of their stories. And this, in turn, will apply to all of my stories. Preface your question with who it's being directed and from which story (or setting, for overarching continuities like the Oversaturated World.) Depending on the number of responses, I make the answers a blog in and of themselves. Please keep the questions work-safe.

Why am I doing this? Why not? :derpytongue2: Have at it.

Oh! Okay then, um....hmmm....Pinkie Pie and Ditzy from the Elementalverse (no idea what the official name for it is, please don't hurt me :facehoof:), I have one for you two: is the rumor true that you guys skipped out on The War of the Spark? :rainbowderp:

Clover wishes to ask Ditzy Doo (any of them) what, if anything, she knows about the box of chocolates that vanished in the void between worlds two weeks ago (by Clover's time-space continuum coordinates).

For :raritystarry: from Land of the Banished Sun (who, I assume, has been adequately overthrown by now): Do you regret anything?

For any of the other Elements :twilightangry2::rainbowhuh::pinkiesick::flutterrage::ajbemused: from Land of the Banished Sun: What did you do when your friend conquered Equestria?

To anyone and everyone willing to answer: do you like penguins?

I have a question for Ditzy Doo (whichever one wants to answer):

Over the years, you've been given many names. Why did you choose Ditzy Doo?

:derpyderp1: "We only found out about it after the fact. The Interplanar Beacon was specifically designed not to signal Ungula. And I wouldn't be surprised if Bolas had a claw in the little kerfuffle that kept us both here."
:pinkiehappy: "Hey now, Kerfuffle was innocent!"
:pinkiesad2: "But yeah, we were kinda preoccupied with some issues with Tartarus. It worked out in the end, but by the time we got it all wrapped up, Ugin had already put his brother in time-out."

:derpytongue2: "If you don't want ponies raiding from your pantry, don't leave it in the middle of their mail route. Or at least write your name on the... Oh, wait, there it is. My bad."

:raritydespair: "Only that the masses could not appreciate the brave new world I was shaping. Only that the old and stagnant rode forth to quash the new and daring. Only—"
:ajbemused: "Quiet, you. Yeah, that was a shock."
:twilightoops: "We're still not sure how much was Rarity and how much was something like Nightmare Moon, and we had to return the Elements of Harmony to the Tree before we ever found a replacement Bearer of Generoisity, assuming we ever could. We formed the core of the Equestrian resistance when it became clear she wouldn't listen to reason."
:rainbowwild: "Which, you know, was about five seconds after we got a good look at her wings."
:fluttershysad: "I... may have tried to harness the forces of chaos in a countercoup. Discord took it as a wedding proposal, and, well... eep!"
:pinkiehappy: "But it all turned out well in the end! Especially after Twilight, Twilight, Celestia, and Sunset figured out how to unravel Rarity's eeeevil mind control ascots!"
:raritycry: "Those were pure silk, you monsters!"

Based on a subconsciously administrated Gallop poll, we have 89% pro-penguin sentiment in my stretch of probability space.

:derpyderp2: "Um... it's my name?"
(That's a matter of personal choice on my part. Sure, She of the Seven Bubbles has many names in many stories, but I usually stick with the one I like best.)

To Oversaturated Sunset. What advice would you offer to someone who may or may not soon stumble into godlike power, hopefully without the associated cosmic collapse you experienced? Playing in a fairly high level DnD campaign that is approaching its conclusion, and things are getting extreme.

5249565
"When someone asks if you want to be comparable to a god, the correct answer is 'Do I have to?' if you don't, don't. It isn't worth it.

"Mind you, if you're stumbling into this kind of power without any outside assistance or chance to opt out... Well, I guess that's why you came to me. If you can't refuse it, ease into the position as best you can given the circumstances. Cultivate your old social circle as friends rather than a priesthood, assuming you're allowed that degree of interference in their lives now. Try to stay grounded, remember the little details as much as the big picture. And give any 'great' idea a good twenty seconds of careful thought before you impose it on the multiverse.

"Really, never go with your gut if you can help it. Even gods have instincts, and they will be nothing like your old ones. Until you learn to recognize the subconscious biases and impulses your portfolio gives you, be very methodical. That's not to say that your first impulse is always wrong, but it does always bear further consideration. On the other hand, if your mind has ascended to a higher level of cognition, take full advantage of that. You'll probably need it to work through everything.

"Oh, and assuming DnD is anything like O&O, don't hesitate to revoke power from clerics who are being idiots in spite of all the disapproving signs and wonders you can throw at them. Sometimes it's the only thing that will get the message across. And my condolences if you're in a multiversal framework where you need worship to survive."

:derpytongue2: "If you don't want ponies raiding from your pantry, don't leave it in the middle of their mail route. Or at least write your name on the... Oh, wait, there it is. My bad."

*Clover's eyes narrow* "You have made a powerful enemy this day. This will have cosmic ramifications! The-"
"Clover, please do not antagonize the mailmare. Do you have any idea how hard it is to find somepony willing to carry my packages?"
"...Fine. But you have to teleport us to Tenochtitlan for a chocolate run."
