I'll be honest: I did not actually expect to finish The Strangers in Ponyville this weekend, but I managed to do it.
I guess not having to go and take care of ye olde second job does, in fact, free up time and energy to do other things. It's kind of a good thing to, because I expect to be back at it Monday night.
Where I am with the story now is possession of a completed draft of some sort of other. I hesitate to call it a first draft, because I've revised every part of it over the last three years so many times already. Nonetheless, I'm going to give each chapter one more look-over tomorrow, just to make sure every I is crossed and T is dotted.
I also need to decide an update schedule. I'm tempted to just make the whole thing available at once, but I'm also tempted to do daily publishes, alongside a daily blog that discusses that particular chapter in more detail, including how I came to make the decisions that I did. That seems kind of self-serving rather than something that anybody would want though, so I'm undecided so far.
What do you think?
Daily chapter updates, then blog post discussing the making-of after.
