To The Readers of "Grief is the Price We Pay," or Anybody Interested in the Thorxie Ship Really · 11:02pm Feb 14th, 2020

Today's Valentine's Day! To celebrate, I had originally planned to release a relevant fic today. However, after taking a large change in approach to said fic and now in the process of rewriting it, it's obviously not going to be ready in time. But considering that my past two fics, both posted earlier in the month, also feature that romance tag, I'm not too especially worked up about it. :rainbowlaugh:

But it did get me thinking about something--those of you who've read "Grief is the Price We Pay" may recall that it featured a Thorax/Trixie ship in the latter half of the story. You probably also recall that, long story short, said ship got cut short because of *ahem* other trying plot-relevant circumstances.

My point though is that I recall a lot of readers taking interest in that Thorxie ship, but were disappointed that "Grief" couldn't deliver on a more long-lasting payoff on it than it ultimately did, and a few asked if I could, someday, seek to correct that problem through another fic. Well, it took over a year, but I have, as it happens, recently just finished posting such a fic.

Ta-da!

It's definitely sillier and different overall in tone from "Grief," but it features Thorxie as the central ship, and while reviewing the fic just now and seeing just how many little references back to "Grief" were scattered all throughout, it reminded me that I had really started writing the fic for those Thorxie readers of "Grief." So...consider this your friendly neighborhood alert that if you're interested in more Thorxie, here's where to find some. ...and some Smollus and some Starburst...

Such circumstances indeed, evil man.

The ship was doomed to start when Thorax started making out with Spike at the end of the story

Ah yes, yes, right after Queen Chrysalis renounced her evil ways and had finished saving Equestria. :trixieshiftleft:

Thorxie? Thorax and who?
