Story Progress (The Poisoned Barb) · 10:18pm Jan 12th, 2020
Howdy howdy~
Hello everyone! Hope 2020 is treating you all well... personally, at least. Things are okay with me, outside of a family scare. Hope your holidays were nice as well.
So, onto business.
I've made a lot of progress with the next chapter batch planned for February. At this time I'm currently editing six chapters that will go live every Saturday, and one Friday, and I'm also starting off the batch after THAT one which will be completed and shared in April. I've got an image of my progress down below, though I'll warn you that it will spoil a few chapter titles. My point in sharing it with all of you today is to give you an idea of just how long or short each arc is going to be, and to give you a peak at what I've got planned.
I'm of the opinion that everyone reading this story has different expectations and hopes for how the future will turn out for Barbara. I have my own plans which I know will be meeting some, but not all, of these expectations, but I want to make sure that the ride is at least going smoothly. Even though this is my story and my story alone, I still want to stomp out major concerns before they have the chance to crop up. I'm kind of a silly old sob like that, hehe
Anyways, without further adieu, here's what to expect in early 2020;

I'm so used to, because I'm so darn lazy, working on just one chapter and publishing almost as soon as the words are done, that I forget...

Heh. That's part of the reason why it was so hard to return to writing this fic; because I knew that I couldn't be doing chapter by chapter set ups anymore like I did during the first half of the story. There's nothing WRONG with doing it that way, where you upload the chapter as soon as it's done, but that kind of update schedule works better in some fics over others.
I've got multi-season long arcs planned for this baby! Enough of them to keep us all quenched during this, the largest MLP drought of all time! To make sure everything goes according to plan, I'm going to need make use of my own 'Seer' powers and take a look ahead to plan accordingly. Writing it this way just made the most sense, and it seems to be working so far for me.
Though... I might try my hand at writing chapter by chapter fics again someday. Someday...
So... what's the chances that Barbra will overthrow the Equines and rule the world with an Iron claw?

I'm hoping to be able to keep this pace up throughout the whole year, as a personal goal of mine. I really want to skip ahead to the crazy stuff I have planned for Biddle Gossip and The Best Night Ever already... but I don't want to miss out on talking about Barb's perspective of the smaller episodes like A Bird in Hoof, or sharing how I'm going to pull off Owl's Well That Ends Well ^_^
