Finally got round to updating my Season 9 bingo card. I didn't win... unless anybody spotted a police pony in season 9 anywhere?
“Trixie hates to interrupt a good monologue,” said Trixie, interrupting a good monologue, “but maybe we should continue it somewhere not on fire?”

Do Royal Guards count?
Ah, not that I recall; sorry.
Under the circumstances, should Grogar really count?

Only if they're seen doing work that's distinctly police-like rather than guard-ish or military in nature.

Hm. Not sure if I can help you there.

I think Grogar would definitely count.
There was no background pony episode. I don't remember Daybreaker or Power Ponies at all. I'm not sure where you're getting these hits from.
Counting appearances by ponies who had no speaking lines is kind of stretching things, too. They practically showed everypony at the end.

I count "The Big Mac Proposal" as a background pony episode, since all the notable characters in it were lower tier.
Daybreaker appeared on screen in The Beginning of the End Part 1. Er, allegedly. I can't actually find it any more. Yeah, it's stretching a bit, but it's the best we're going to get for a character that was imaginary even when she did appear.
A Power Ponies comic were mentioned in The Final Problem. Similar.

Big Mac, Sugar Belle, Cup Cake, the CMC, and Discord? They're all speaking characters. None of them are background ponies.
I think offhoof mentioning a comic book is not the same as the Power Ponies actually appearing in the episode.
It's fine, though. I don't mean to pick, I was just checking to see if I missed something.
I have many opinions!
I would count Gangster Ponies as well, that scene in Sparkle's 7 where Rarity and Rainbow Dash shake down some shady customers in the juice joint has ponies that look like gangsters, and Caballeron's crew are probably also gangsters.
Also to be clear does "pony boxing" only means ponies engaged in a licensed sporting event? Because the season finally definitely had fisticuffs.
How are you defining Ancestral Lands? I mean, Gusty and the original Grogar were pre-Hearth's Warming, so Mount Everhoof seems like it would be in the Ancestral lands. And Ahuizotl's temple was built by some ancient civilization, though I suppose that's a stretch since that civilization didn't lead to the founding of Equestria.
For nobility, is the criteria that they need to have a named title other than Princess mentioned? Fancy Pants and the Gala Planning committees are the Canterlot Elite, but not sure how that is scored.

Caballeron's crew probably are gangsters, you're right.
I think the defining feature of boxing is that it's a sport with rules, so unregulated combat doesn't count. Fancy Pants and his pals may be nobility, but that fact isn't really featured in the episode so it feels like a stretch too far. And the ancestral lands thing is hard to argue without knowing where anything is exactly, so since they're not explicitly mentioned I don't think I can count it.
