So, I've been absent without leave for over half a year. I'd be making my amends before a court martial except... looks around... I don't seem to have joined any military service. Ha! Slipped by on a technicality!
But I have recently been getting back on the tiger, and as a result, I actually have some words to go along with ChristheBlue's nifty new cover art he worked up for me:
As you'd guess from the art and the subject matter, The Princess's Bit is a sequel to Good Trooper Gilda, albeit more of an adventure story than GTG's slice of life. Or, well, GTG's intermittent, alleged slice-of-lifery.
I may have issues from time to time in delivering exactly what I set out to write. It's a failing.
Anyways, it's the further adventures of our heroines, Gilda the faithful bat-hen, and her captain ma'am, as they assemble their band of ne'er-do-wells, broken birds, and impervious innocents.
So, there you go, The Princess's Bit.

It's an old pirate trick. You preserve your darksight by keeping one eye under the patch while you're abovedecks, and take it off below decks.
