Twilight Sparkle stands alone on a hilltop overlooking a hundred thousand Noxxa, stretching into the distance, a sea of roiling black. The sun is setting in the distance. Her friends are struggling to rise to their hooves.
Marshal Malice is at the head of his army, wielding four Black Blades in his arms. Pale, thin, and sickly, he looks like a horrific maggot merged with the Alien mother queen. The Elements of Harmony are floating above his head, coated with an aura of darkness.
As Twilight, her friends, the Guardians of the Sun, and Tempest Shadow gaze on with fear and trepidation, a swirling black portal opens next to them.
In comes Discord and Scorpan together. Discord snaps his fingers. Scorpan creates runes in his palms.
Right beside Freedom Fighter, who's cradling his Element-empty arm, another portal comes to life. In walks Octavia, Vinyl Scratch, and Derpy. They all help him stand once more with hopeful smiles, then look down to affix Malice with an evil glare.
Through dozens more portals come the reinforcements from everyone the ponies helped over the years. The inhabitants of Ponyville are here. Lyra and Bon Bon, Carrot Top, Colgate, Doctor Whooves. Steven Magnet is coiled up around Rarity. Bulk Biceps is crouching, looking absolutely feral and monstrous in his own right. The Cutie Mark Crusaders are perched precariously on his back.
The hippogriffs come through another black portal. Led by a stern-faced Brine and the large but gentle Sweet, thousands of them are lining up from the ruined streets of Mount Aris.
Through a portal in the air zooms the Wonderbolts, led by Spitfire, who gives a cheeky nod to her brother Firestorm on the ground. Through another portal comes the reformed changelings, pawing to be off. The last remaining griffons left over from the genocide at Griffonstone are there, cracking their knuckles and looking eager to be off.
A tremendous rumble cuts through it all as a lumbering party cannon as large as a mountain rumbles through an especially large portal. Straddling atop it is Cheese Sandwich, wielding Boneless #3 as a sword.
Scorpan looks at Discord. "Is that everyone?"
Discord gives him a strange glance. "It's all I can think of at the moment."
Marshal Malice is watching it all with frozen shock and fear, watching the allies of the universe assemble. The Noxxa behind him are roaring to go, to spill their blood, but he knows it's a battle he might not win.
As the ponies get into charging positions, Twilight raises her voice above the rest. "Friendship!"
The background music, which had been swelling to a crescendo, stops abruptly.
"...is magic, " she simply finishes.
With a roar from Noble Blade, they all charge as one to meet the final end of Equestria.
