Yes folks, today is my birthday! Hard to believe I'm 25 years old already (I feel so old)!
It's been an honor to be a part of this fandom for so many years, and even as the end of the show looms I for one intend to stick around afterward. The show end, but the fandom doesn't have to.
I should also take this time to mention that in a couple of days I will leave for a family vacation, I'll be traveling to the Wisconsin Dells, Minnesota (including the Mall of America), and Milwaukee over a period of five days. And soon after that, school starts up for me again. If all goes well, this will be my last semester before I graduate, but because of the subject matter (it is African history) I'm going to scale back my writing endevors, most of the stuff I publish in September and October will be stuff I've had on the backburner and already completed. I will also have to devote time to a volunteer position, and possible obligations as a student assistant and member of a club. I've done a pretty good job in past semesters of managing real life with this account, but we'll just have to see how it goes this coming fall.
For now though, it's my birthday. So, Pinkie Pie, do the honors:

You've certainly developed a lot over the years of being here. Looking back, would you be able to say that your participation in the MLP community helped you in being a better friend and writer?
It is my hope to keep the magic alive, too. After all it is MLP: FiM that allowed me to do some genuinely meaningful work in the area of advocacy for the differently-abled.
From my own experience, I can tell you having time away to tend to your final collegiate semester will not negatively impact your presence here. Or it will not impact those who genuinely see you as a friend. When you are free you are free. When not, we know you'll be back around. :)
