Just...

There's "Hey, it's a weird old thing my dad played with, neat." And then there's THESE little turdmuffins.

There's always a kid or two in these videos (Don't get me started on the Bon Jovi or Guns and Roses ones) who is just begging to be punched in the face with their smug comments. Unfortunately, it is socially unacceptable to do so now a days, so we'll have to be content with them having their reactions posted in the internet forever for others to mock.

Don't worry kids. I had one when they came out and I thought it was crappy too. Unfortunately, game gear was crappier, lynx was crappy, and turbo express burned batteries so fast you could barely play anything.

You should see teens react to My Little Pony. They made me ashamed to be a teen.

Oh and the truly annoying “Game Boy Girl” kid

I still play mine from time to times.

It wasn't that the GB was crappy. It wasn't that great looking back then no, but it was the one most likely to be bought since it didn't cause your parents to buy a grand in AA batteries a month. I mean 4 for 10 to 15 ish hours of play vs 6 for maybe 4 hours, or 6 for 3hours meant that if you were going to convince a parent to buy you something its was the most likely to be bought. At least the GB games were fun compared to some of the games that released back then. That and you could drop it and it would still play, which lets face it the other systems were not as robust for.

I should hope handheld gaming systems have improved in 25 years. If they didn't, the game companies aren't doing their jobs.

My brother still has a working Game Boy. I could get it and play right now.

Eh, that didn't seem too bad. Like, I had one and was in the target age range when the GB was fairly new - and while I loved it to death back then, I wouldn't really want to play it today, either.

Like it had top tier games (Link's Awakening & Pokemon taking the cake most easily, IMO), but there was so much...well, no other way to put it - crap on it, too. Finding what was really great and what was a cash grab / tie-in was haaaaard.

Nowadays, it's way better.

Turdmuffins.... i think you mean IGNORANT SHITBAGS!!
