Hey everyone! Sorry I've been taking so long on updates (it was a long week at work and I needed sleep) but now... it's finally time for the Trade exchange arc in potion shop. Given the length of the story so far, it's time to consider marking it complete and starting a direct sequel/continuation so the original doesn't seem too long for new readers.
Thoughts? Should I keep potion shop as one long story, or should I just continue in (working title) Potions, Inc.?
Too me The potion shop has always felt like a series of short stories so i would say just make it one long story, if it had some overarching story then maybe start thinking about a sequel.

Agreed. I also love the Prank War crossovers.
I think that if you've any substantial stories in mind they should be their own thing. Overburdening a story by letting it go on for too long is a problem I've seen before, you've got to know when to divide up your stories.
I dont care. I'm the one that will sit down with an all in one copy of Lord of the Rings and go cover to cover, so I'm probably not the one to ask on that.
I would say make it one but I don't really care either way
I don't mind, I do agree with the person that said you should never let stories get too long. There's a reason I haven't read Time Loops.
As long as the universe continues, I’m good with either.
Sorry, I know that wasn’t very helpful.
this is just what would do in this situation
if you're going to keep the story pretty much the same as it always has without wrapping up all loose ends(such as the Duck Finally dies) then i see no reason for you to make a sequel. however, if it was going to be something like he Celestia sees the damage Arca has done and decides to have him move to another town like i don't know ponyville for example or any other change to the stories recipe then i would say yeah you should make it into a sequel. just note the final chapter should be at the very least satisfying
while I'll admit that it's getting pretty long I don't really see a point for that alone to be a reason to cut it off there and make a sequel
though I suppose I could why the amount of chapter could be intimidating for newer readers... since ive found chapter with a 100 or so of them
While the chapter count is a little up there, honestly the overall story isnt that long. And as others have said each chapter is basically an easilly digestible short story. So personally i would keep it one story unless something in the story fundamentally changes.
Hey, as long as yer shittin' out chapters for me to dig through to find the story within and then fix, I'm bueno!
