    River City Equestria Girls?

Seriously, that's Pinkie Pie on the left, and Rainbow Dash on the right. Tell me I'm wrong.

I will not write a fanfic about the two of them getting into all the fights.

    Probably.

An "I don't have livejournal anymore" sort of update.

    It snowed yesterday.

Which just reminded me how much I don't like winter. It wasn't even a bad snow, just enough of a dusting to linger for a little bit. First one of the season. And I even had the day off from work, due to my schedule, so it's not like I had to do anything ...

    So I didn't.

    Happy Halloween!

So yeah. Despite various distractions (Steam had Darkest Dungeon for UNDER FOUR BUCKS), I've managed to hammer out a ridiculously shippy conclusion to the self indulgent Rarijack story I started.

So that's fun? I gave myself a deadline to finish things on Oct 31, so that's what I did, dangit. Hopefully you guys will enjoy.

Well, there's a surprise. · 5:36pm Jan 22nd, 2019

Turns out, people here like stories about ponies. Who knew?

But yeah, as I wrote Brain Problem Situation, I realized that it intentionally, gloriously, dumb. Which is enough to make it hit the feature box. Go figure.

(And no I'm not nonplussed that my longer and possibly more coherently written stories tend to get a fraction of the attention. Really. Ahem).

Still! I guess this gives hope for FiMfiction yet, as not every featured story has to be about Anon the Displaced Anime Character doing weird sex things to Princess Luna or whatever. Some of you still have taste! Or, uh ... something close to taste. Because, again, Brain Problem Situation is pretty shamelessly dumb. I mean seriously I named a monster the Thesaurus, and I will not apologize for that joke. But then again, this is a cartoon we're writing fanfic for ...

So yeah. I might go back and write up a little more for the ending, but for now I can say it's fairly well wrapped up. Theoretically, I'll get around to finishing GARGANTULON VS. THE SPACE DRACULAS at some point, oooooor I may just try to come up with some more stupid ideas to see where they go.

Still, thanks for reading! Always good to see at least somebody's enjoying this weird and niche hobby of mine. Ours. Whatever.

The whims of the Feature Box are inscrutable to us mere mortals.

There is a place for goofy fun! :pinkiehappy: Sometimes that place is a box.

It's a dumb story, but it's a clever and fun sort of dumb!

Garagantulon is fun, I’m liking your take on the girls magical slice of life adventures.

This. Plus Applejack digging out the Orange skills, so there’s that.

To be honest, I gave the story a shot because of your other work.

I read the first chapter and, while not displeased, I couldn't muster the interest to track or add a like to it. Should I have read more?

And no I'm not nonplussed that my longer and possibly more coherently written stories tend to get a fraction of the attention.

Why are you so surprised? Much of your work consists of crossovers, Flash Sentry, and extended series. Crossovers will almost always be more niche than vanilla, few people give a rat’s arse about Flash, and extended series are always less accessible than a single self‐contained work.

The first chapter is pretty much setup for the punchline that is the second, so yes.

What is a story of yours that you wish got more attention?

... all of them? :)

Really though, the most obscure-ish (and also most original-ish) of my work is probably the collected Flash Sentry Papers. Which, admittedly, the first one got featured (quite unexpectedly) in the Royal Canterlot Library, so I really can't complain too much. Still, if you're looking for some silly pony adventure that's halfway literary (not to mention more than a little snarky and/or bawdy), check 'em out.

I will check it out! I'm already reading a couple others too :]
