Okay, I didn't actually put that together: a company called Lulu manufactured the book. It's kind of a self-publishing thing except not really; if you send them a manuscript and pay the cost to put the book together, they'll put the book together.
And hot damn, there is nothing like being able to hold something that you put a significant portion of life into in your hands. This is something that I did, after all.
My primary motivation was having something that I could have even after I move on from ponies and go into my old age. I would have physical evidence of what I have done. But I am somewhat curious on whether other people would want their own copies. For the record, the book was about $7 to manufacture.

Sweet! Once I get to reading that, I might look into getting one. It's been on my to-read list, but it's veeeeerrrrrrrrry backlogged.
I might be so inclined. Do you have a specific threshold in mind for "this is a thing" vs "it's not worth the hassle?"

The only thing stopping me (aside from making sure the text is complete and error-free--but that will come in time) is that I'm not entirely positive of whether or not it's legal or not. That said, I know there have been many other printing projects and 4945157 prints their fics with Lulu and there doesn't seem to be trouble so far. Chances are really good that people will be able to get their hands on their own copies in the foreseeable future. I just have to feel confident that I'm not wading into deep legal waters.
