...in force. I had two videos pop up on my YouTube recommendations that brought back my childhood.
Those who are old farts (if you consider 34 as being an old fart) will more than likely remember this...
...and this...
I'm curious as to who all else remembers these? Lemme know.
Yep, TMNT, definitely remember it.
only 27 myself. i remember both. i even remember he-man masters of the universe.
do i count as an old fart now?
4927811 I never really cared for He-Man, to be honest.
4927809 Who was your favorite from the original TMNT?
4927840
Huh, I don't know.
I didn't grow up with it like many others did, but I do appreciate it for what it is, I especially love the theme... and I gotta be honest, I loved the live action Turtles we got in the 90s, the first movie I mean.

it wasn't the best , but certainly interesting. i probably liked tmnt more
I’m pretty sure both of those aired over here in the nighties, but I can’t remember much from Thundercats… Now TMNT, that one I remember very, very well – Raphael wielding his twin sai was always my favorite
Ah the nineties… Years of Commodore-64, cheap NES clones and many great and/or cheesy (I’m looking at you He-Man ) cartoons. Disney channel back then was packed with so many goodies
4927856 I remember Thundercats was aired on TBS back when it was "The Superstation" (now I'm showing my age) and FOX Kids had the Ninja Turtles on in the afternoon when school let out and on Saturday mornings.
Okay, now I'm really starting to feel old...
I didn't grow up with those, but I did grow up with the awesome '03 series.
4927877 The 2003 reboot doesn't hold a candle anywhere near the original version, in my opinion. But not everyone is old so I guess I can forgive ya.

My only real experience with the '80s Turtles was the '09 crossover anniversary movie called Turtles Forever. First impressions weren't that great. After watching the '03 series for so long and getting used to the more dramatic tone of that series, the '80s version just felt so...goofy and off-putting. But hey, I may watch the '80s version someday and find I had the wrong idea. Who knows?
i remember watching those when I was a child. I also remember watching this:
and this:
which I still enjoy.

Here in Poland, shows from the eighties, started airing after the fall of communism (1989), so during my childhood (I’m 1987 – pretty old too ) our national TV was airing mostly Disney stuff (Duck Tales, Gummy Bears, Tale Spin etc. but later also TMNT and a few other non-Disney shows) while the emerging commercial stations, were aiming for a cheaper shows they could afford (best of Hanna-Barbera’s for example, but later also newer stuff, like Biker Mice from Mars). In effect, we’ve got to see the best of the best at the time - both old new and
Good old times… The funny thing is MLP FiM actually reminds me a lot of those old things, I think that even Lauren herself once commented that she was ‘inspired’ by those good old cartoons when she was working on MLP… Not really a surprise, eh ?
Damn, you made me feel really old... Hope you're happy
4927968 To be honest, I didn't catch Thundercats until the reruns started in 1987 when I was almost 4. My favorite episodes were the five-parters, Thundercats-Ho! The Movie and the sequel Mumm-Ra Lives. I wore out the VHS tapes that my mom recorded those episodes on.
(Sorry for making you feel old too. )
