Don't Leave Me With My Procrastination · 4:20am Oct 24th, 2017

adorable

Hello friends,

Thanks to everyone who checked out Don't Leave Me With Myself when it dropped last Monday. It didn't quite get the response I was hoping for, but I hope that the ones who did see it liked it—the commenters seemed to, at least.

I know a bunch of you are probably wondering where the next chapter is. And I'm gonna be totally transparent here: I'm still writing it.

Yes, I know that I said I was gonna finish the whole fic before posting. But I had said that assuming both that the rest of the story would be easy to write, and that I'd have a lot of free time to work on it. Unfortunately, October has ended up being stupidly busy for me, meaning that I spend a lot of time working, and a lot of time stressing out about what work I need to do but haven't yet. As such, Don't Leave Me has had to take the backburner for a little while while I try to sort out my life.

It hasn't helped that it seems like my depression is just getting worse. I legit can't get through a day anymore without spending at least an hour in some sort of awful moody fog, barely able to function. On the bright side of that, however—after putting it off for a year, telling myself I was better off without it, I finally agreed to go to therapy. My first session is on Wednesday, and I'm hopeful that it'll help me, while also scared that it won't.

In the meantime, just hang tight. Chapter Three of Journey to the Center of Sunset's Mind will be out soon. Spoiler alert: Sunset's in it!

Look how happy she is!

Oh my word, is that the seaweed ambassador on her skirt?! YUS!

Best of luck, Dubs, I'm rooting for ya.

Looking forward to seeing what happens in the story!

And good luck man. Remember, Therapy isn't an instant cure or switch to fix problems. It's a process. But it's one worth doing.

I didn't realize that you were dealing with depression; I'm sorry to hear that. I'm glad that you're going to try therapy though. Hopefully it helps you. I'm not sure it helped me, but it certainly didn't hurt, and I did eventually get through my own depression.

And definitely don't feel bad about not updating. Your health comes first, and f:yay: the rest.

Here's hoping the therapy helps. We're here for you as much as we can be.

Glad to hear you're getting help and glad to hear you're still progressing.

Honestly, the only reason that I haven't read it yet is that the subject hits a little too close to home. I may have to be in a far better headspace before I read it.

Good luck with the therapy man, I really like the story and glad to see your gonna update it but your health should always come first. Im rooting for ya:pinkiehappy:
