Twilight floated a second fritter up to her mouth when she realized the first was gone. “What is in these things?” “Mostly love. Love ‘n about three sticks of butter.”

Blast from the Past: Now 100% Less Likely to Get Me In Trouble

Hey, some of you guys remember that thing I did a long time ago, where I wrote up 50 questions about headcanon and suggested people answer them on their blogs, and then, like, everyone on the site wanted to do it, and then the site mods sent me nice but stern messages suggesting I cut that shit out because it was spamming people's feeds?

Hey, you guys might know my friend and collab partner Merc the Jerk. He worked with me on Moonshine, and with Peregrine Caged and JakeTheGinger on one of my all time faves, Fool's Gold. Merc writes his own stuff too, and while it's always humanized (I know) and usually RariJack (I knooooow), he's a great writer.

He's got a new story out, Diktat, a sequel to his adventure fic The Laughing Shadow. They're both mature rated, and RariJack, but you still should check them out. Here's a link to his stories list because I can never remember what the current rules for linking mature fics happen to be. If you're old enough to pretend you're eighteen on the internet, you can find them there.

>RariJack
You have my attention now~

Tbh, I prefer RariJack to AppleDash, however, I don't care beyond that because they both feature Applejack.

There you go. Thanks for the heads up. :ajsmug:

In order to make an AppleDash story work, you have to essentially remove most of their personalities so that you can force them together. But once you've done that, they're not even Applejack or Rainbow Dash anymore. At least with RariJack you can have characters remain true to the show and still have a functional, healthy relationship.

Edit: Also, ever since I was 12 I've been (18 or up) on the internet.

That's not true in the slightest. Appledash just taps into a different facet than Rarijack. Appledash puts them as competitors, both with common goals and hobbies, Rarijack serves more a foil in comparison. They both work fine, just for different reasons

You realize you're following bookplayer don't you?

There's more than one reason to follow the bookplayer, but this still make me chuckle.

yes it's like 'the batman'

Appledash puts them as competitors,

And therein lies the problem. If you remember Fall Weather Friends, they almost killed each other in that race to prove they were better than the other one. Well in a relationship, there will be dozens of times where Rainbow Dash will want to prove she's better than Applejack, and Applejack is so stubborn that she won't back down from a challenge. They will continue to argue and compete against each other until one of them ends up hurt or they fracture their friendship. If Applejack wins the competitions, Rainbow Dash will resent her for winning. If Rainbow Dash wins, she will taunt Applejack until she snaps and does/says something in anger. We've seen this happen in Fall Weather Friends. It's a no-win situation and is not a basis for a healthy relationship.
