Letters arc complete and posting Monday with Chapter 10 of The Knight, The Fey Maiden, and the Bridge Troll too

I have up to Chapter 99 complete in Letters From a Little Princess Monster, which is a little embarrassing since I *started* the arc in the middle of Covid season. It could have graduated from several universities in that time. Rather than tease bits out of it like I have before, I'm just going to go straight into my daily publishing routine and let you catch up on where I am on The Knight, The

Sun will be down for maintenance on Monday. Sorry for the inconvenience. --NASA

Here's a story by Estee you can read to take up the time until the Sun is all tuned up and returned to operation.

EA Total Eclipse Of The Fun
The second anniversary of the Return is approaching, and all Luna wants for the celebration is one thing -- something Equestria hasn't seen in more than a thousand years. This could be a problem.

    Big Leather Egg Sunday

A reminder (as John Cleese put it) that today is Big Leather Egg Sunday, and to celebrate, I'm linking the Best Football MLP story of all time by Kris Overstreet. Starring... Rarity?

    Goodbye Toby Keith, American Legend

Undoubtedly, if Toby Keith had ever done a tour in Equestria, Applejack would have been right there in the front row, whoopin' and a hollerin' as loud as possible. I think every high school in the US had a proud friendly guy like this, and we raise our red Solo cups in tribute to his last beer run. Salute!

New Year 2024- New Projects 1939

Still working on everything else this year, but I've got a sequel/prequel to Equestria: 1940 in the works, both a series of short stories set in the 1940 world up to the Equestrian moon project, and a war story showing some behind the scenes details about the war. For a little country the size of Ohio in the northern Atlantic, it has a lot of potential. Explosive, mostly. Snippets after the

Testing, testing - Lazy Dragon reading test · 5:36pm Sep 25th, 2017

I'm fooling around with making a reading of the kids story, The Lazy Dragon of Dragonvale before I publish it. Before you listen to this thirty-second snippet, be aware that I have a voice well-suited for writing. Also, if you want to help edit it (regular or irregular editors welcome), drop me a line and I'll send you a link. It would be nice to find any errors *before* I record for real. Also, if you want to do the reading and sound better than me (a low bar, as you can tell) let me know. I've replaced my raspy croaking with Jake the Army Guy's wonderful final product. Comments welcome.

The *real* picture I'm using in the final version was drawn by Harwick on Fimfiction or Harwicks-art on Deviantart.com because it is *far* better. (Harwick is AWESOME!!)

I think your voice is fine for this story. I would have stumbled over words a lot. I do that, though I was remarkably well put together when I did a reading of "Book one: the beginning" by Minecraft. Possibly because that story is a masterpeice beyond description.

Enough rambling, if absolutely no one else who works better hours and has more skill shows up, i can do sound editing to a fair degree.

I'll give it a shot. Been wanting to try V/O.

Could use a better mic, but your pacing is decent and overall you're understandable. That's all I really ask for. :B

And your name is seriously pronounced "George"? c.c Like, despite there being no E on the end? Not "gey-org", the way it's written? I don't know what to believe anymore. D:

I always wondered if your name was pronounced like that dude from "Sound of Music". Guess not.

lazy is a favorite past time of ours

4678369 It dates back to when I wanted an 'alternate name' to use for posting on the internet (because some of these people are *crazy* enough to track you down in real life). So our cat, George Felis... Oh, wait. That name is taken by an optometrist in South America (really, I've gotten his misdelivered email). And a professor at UNC. And a sales rep in Utah. And (according to Google) a guy born in 1934 in Missouri. But Georg (without the e) Felis was unclaimed. Skip ahead a bunch of years, and I needed an alias to submit ponyfic under. Guess which one I used? (yes, my cat is credited as writing ponyfic)

Yeah, even a Blue Yeti microphone would not help this voice. What you hear is after Audacity has done all the High/low/normalize/clean passes, too. I do need to slow down, pitch my voice down, and take pauses, because it's a kid's story.

4678410 Might as well take the easy way, rather than 'Yor--je'

4678354 I should throw this open as an "Equestria's Got Talent!" competition. "Have you never recorded before? Does your voice sound like a bog full of frogs? Well, now you too can be rich and famous⁽*⁾ like all of your favorite stars! Just record the attached story and send the raw audio back to the competition, and we'll do the rest⁽¹⁾ of the work. Record two stories and get twice the income! Apply today!"

(*) As rich and famous as you are now, at least.
