Letters arc complete and posting Monday with Chapter 10 of The Knight, The Fey Maiden, and the Bridge Troll too

I have up to Chapter 99 complete in Letters From a Little Princess Monster, which is a little embarrassing since I *started* the arc in the middle of Covid season. It could have graduated from several universities in that time. Rather than tease bits out of it like I have before, I'm just going to go straight into my daily publishing routine and let you catch up on where I am on The Knight, The

Sun will be down for maintenance on Monday. Sorry for the inconvenience. --NASA

Here's a story by Estee you can read to take up the time until the Sun is all tuned up and returned to operation.

EA Total Eclipse Of The Fun
The second anniversary of the Return is approaching, and all Luna wants for the celebration is one thing -- something Equestria hasn't seen in more than a thousand years. This could be a problem.

    Big Leather Egg Sunday

A reminder (as John Cleese put it) that today is Big Leather Egg Sunday, and to celebrate, I'm linking the Best Football MLP story of all time by Kris Overstreet. Starring... Rarity?

    Goodbye Toby Keith, American Legend

Undoubtedly, if Toby Keith had ever done a tour in Equestria, Applejack would have been right there in the front row, whoopin' and a hollerin' as loud as possible. I think every high school in the US had a proud friendly guy like this, and we raise our red Solo cups in tribute to his last beer run. Salute!

New Year 2024- New Projects 1939

Still working on everything else this year, but I've got a sequel/prequel to Equestria: 1940 in the works, both a series of short stories set in the 1940 world up to the Equestrian moon project, and a war story showing some behind the scenes details about the war. For a little country the size of Ohio in the northern Atlantic, it has a lot of potential. Explosive, mostly. Snippets after the

Toby Keith, Tom Cruise, and I are all about the same age. Scares me sometime because I'm afraid this is my theme song now.

That is a gut punch I was not expecting this morning. Rip to a legend.

Toby Keith, Tom Cruise, and I are all about the same age.

I didn't expect that to learn that, you don't write like a crusty old fart :pinkiehappy: and your blog posts don't give off that "get off my lawn/in my day..." vibe either :rainbowlaugh:.

It's kind of startling to realize, however, that I was born and grew up in a time not too far removed from the dawn of entertainment media (music, movies, television, games) and I can't help but wonder how many of the people whose names I recognize from when I was a kid--all of whom are steadily getting snatched up in the Reaper's claw game--will be regarded with the sort of respect that people today hold for the likes of Mozart, Bach, and other classical composers.

Yea I woke up to see that news. It was a hard gut punch, RIP sir.

I grew up listening to Toby Keith

dang, everyone be dying this year

I saw the news this morning and the first thing that hit was "Wait, he's how old?" I seriously thought he was younger than that.

I'll have to go through his discography. I like most of what he does, but I always heard it peripherally due to Country not being my go-to musical preference. Shame it took his death to remind me of such a thing.

I was never a HUGE fan, but I did like some of his stuff. When we were in Iraq, we listened to his music a lot over the tank's intercom. Heh, I remember sitting in the loader's hatch, with my TC standing in his hatch, and us screaming like drunken assholes singing along to Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue. His song American Soldier was played at every memorial service we held over there, along with a slideshow with pictures of the fallen soldier.

RIP, Mr. Keith.

I know that feeling…I’ll be 62 this summer and I swear it’s been so much longer of a trip.

Donations can be made to the Toby Keith Foundation, which supports pediatric cancer patients.
