Wishy's First Top Feature! · 8:45pm Sep 17th, 2017
Alright, so I'm horn tooting (which I am often shy about) but I'm gonna do it anyway. Purple Weed Cosmopolitan made top heat on the feature box today. I've had features before, but never one that ranked that highly.
Flutters says - (Yay!)
Kinda makes me wonder what aspect of the story in particular got it there. I shall have to research. Meanwhile, thanks folks!
Just... gonna say its the futa. :D
Though, I'm not done, but it's beautifully written so far!

Well the last story of mine that hit the box was R63, and now a futa one hits...I dunno is there a pattern here!?
Thank you, also
Let's see. Tempting image, eloquent description, curious name, competition isn't so hot, posted at the right time, and girlcawk. Seems like a clear winner.
It's always hard to predict the Box. She's a cruel Mistress.

That image was the first thing that came to me after dreaming up the situation for chapter 2. Already asked the artist if it's ok - hope she doesn't mind. The title is almost always the very last thing I come up with, except on those odd occasions when it's the first thing, and I build a story around that. As for description, I'm used to pitching query letters to agents. The fewer words you have to work with, the more each one has to count. It's all hit or miss, very true, but that makes a hit feel good.
Now, if girlcawk is the draw, I can certainly see about delivering more of that

So. Brave.
I'm inclined to self publish everything to avoid having to do this. Being ignored by the internet is less terrifying to me than gatekeeper censure.

The non pony me has two novels on amazon and a short story in a horror anthology, though only the latter was traditionally published. I'm very used to querying, though I've only gotten so close a few times, beyond that short story.
Simply put - as a writer, you must have a thick skin. What is your baby is not the baby of others. You just have to do your best and capture interest as efficiently as possible.
